Wings@Maple offers crispy fried chicken wings with some of the best varieties of sauces in town. The wings and popcorn chicken are perfectly fired and sauced. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is swift.
Outdoor seating is my favorite, especially since it's covered. Hands down the best spot to drink and eat wings if you're avoiding the crowds of downtown. The indoor seating is cozy and accommodating.
Update: the crab ragoon and fried green beans are not to be slept on, they are amazing sides
Update: The teriyaki chicken "chicken on sticks" can be done with any sauce, so good
My Top 3 Sauces: Maple soy, umami and sweet, goes well with a switchback
House spicy, a good burn with right of heat, addicting to eat with a lager.
Lemon pepper, so zesty with the right amount of pepper punch, does magic with an IPA.
If you remember Gastro Grub, the bar still has the same cozy vibes and the original...
Read moreWas craving some wings, and wanted to avoid BWW, so checked out Yelp and read the reviews for Wings on Maple. Dragged the Mrs. with me. Parked in the lot under the building across the street, where Shy Guy Gelato is located. We had drinks, a draft beer and house margarita for $5. They used fresh lime juice. We ordered the Crab Rangoon and 8 (crispy) wings in the house hot sauce. Rangoons were good, the dipping sauce amazing. The wings came out perfectly crispy as requested (crispy is good, don’t ask for extra crispy) and the house sauce was original and unique. Heads up that it’s spicy and very garlicky. It was slow as we got there shortly after opening. There was another party of three eating. Timing worked great for us. A place I’d recommend for the wing connoisseur. We’ll be back to try some...
Read moreGreat, cozy spot for good food and drinks. The wings are excellent, both boneless and with bones. I still need to try everything else on the menu. I'm curious to try the crispy chicken sandwich given how good the wings are. Everything is reasonably priced. There's a good selection of local beers on draught. I haven't had any of the cocktails, but they look great.
I really love the house spicy sauce: I grew up in Louisiana and I find it pleasantly spicy; native Vermonters may find it to be a bit spicier.
The owners are so friendly and pleasant.
It's really just a beautiful hidden gem of a place, with impeccable vibes.
I've gone both with friends and alone, and I appreciate there's good bar space if you're going solo or with just two people.
Do yourself a...
