Terrible experience at Jersey Mike’s in Burlington with manager Katy.
From start to finish, the hiring process was completely unprofessional. Katy kept changing the interview time, saying she had scheduling conflicts. When the interview finally happened, she showed up late with no apology. This was supposedly my second interview, even though the first was just me walking into the store to fill out a paper form — information I had already submitted through Indeed, which was a waste of time.
During the interview, Katy was rude and unprofessional, and even made racially insensitive comments that were totally out of line. She also said that she's a “very strict boss” and claimed that one call-out would result in an automatic suspension and termination — something that felt harsh, inflexible, and frankly, inappropriate to say during an interview.
No one should be treated this way when applying for a job. Jersey Mike’s needs to seriously look into who they have running this location. I walked away feeling disrespected and...
Read moreThe 2 dudes behind the counter were working so freaking hard to get orders out. I felt so bad, made me want to apron up and help! They had a good number of tickets, people walking in, and the other customers were getting annoyed, maybe not verbally, but the symphony of sighs spoke volumes. Get them more help, cause they definitely needed atleast one more person. I'm a General Manager and it was lowkey upsetting to watch them get wrecked like that. Foods always amazing!!!
