As a delivery driver and lover of Mexican food, I'm trying every Mexican restaurant that I deliver for at least once. As of now that I've tried at least 2/3 of the Mexican Resturants in Skagit country, I've decided that Mi Mexico is my favorite.
We are so fortunate to have a large selection of great Mexican restaurants in Skagit county, and any of them that stay in business more than 2 years must be outstanding. An average Mexican resturant here would be the best one in Cheyenne, WY, where I lived for ten years. There are several restaurants that are perfectly fine and cheaper than Mi Mexico (and I don't mean Taco bell). There are also some of higher quality that are also more expensive. However I'm pretty sure now that Mi Mexico gives the most bang for your buck. However what really makes this place shine is the resturant is just gorgous! It is a beautiful building on the outside and on the inside, the atmosphere is just amazing both inside and out.
Expect a long wait during peak hours though. Apparently I'm not the only one that thinks highly of this place.
Also I want to give a shout out to the hostess who's name escapes me at the moment, but I'll try to edit this and get her name in here. I've been impressed at how great she is at her job and how she manages during busy times, and she is...
Read moreCame for an early dinner (4:00pm on a Monday), it wasn’t busy. Atmosphere’s decent, fun colors, music wasn’t too loud, and booths are large, which was nice since it allowed for privacy.
We had two different servers, both were very friendly! My only minor criticism is they didn’t check on us after ensuring our meals were accurate, and we had to wave them down for our bill. This wasn’t a big deal to us since they were so friendly.
•Tortillas & Salsa 4.25/5: tortillas served warm = bonus points. Salsa was fresh with the right amount of kick!
•Tostada 4/5: their tostada’s great, it has everything - avocado, sour cream, protein (your choice), lettuce, side of refried beans and rice. This could easily be shared.
•Taco + Enchilada with Rice & Beans Combo 3.75/5: shredded chicken was tender, nicely seasoned, I’d recommend it over the other proteins. Personally, I found the shredded beef too salty and couldn’t eat it, but the rice and beans were delish!
I plan to return and would like to try some of their...
Read moreI have a picture describing me and my families visit to this place.Food was meh, carpet smelled of complete mold and has a darkish green color,oh god the carpet needs to be gone!!! Before we were seated I told the hostess that the trash can out front was filled to the top and spilling over into the parking lot( I gave a hand to pick up scattered papers and a map before I went inside)she said someone will come and empty it and told me thank you for telling them about it. We ate here because Jarritos across the street didn't greet us to the point of acknowledgement and we were the only ones inside. Our waitress was cool, but other than that we really didn't enjoy our stay. Oh and the trash wasn't emptied after the fact I told them about it(I asked again to see if they had someone do it or to see if it was done), because it was a major turn off to see that before we entered the place. Oh and my wife threw up what she ate, which was the flatas.
My advice, go to El Cazador for a better meal...
