Haggen — Local services in Burlington

Although partly my fault; I thought I'd call before walking in to ask if it looked like I had a covid tests available through insurance. I didn't say I was there. She said she'd call me back. I waited about 40 minutes and walked in. Finally found out for some reason the prescription was ok'd, but they didn't have the correct one nor the template to put it together. Something was mentioned about having up by the front counter. Maybe since they were out, and only had some at the front counter the paperwork for it wouldn't be there. I ended up calling Rite Aid and they had one available! The name didn't even match what I saw on my insurance link but they said it was okay.

I think I'm a little more frustrated this time around because the last time I went to the store during Labor Day weekend they didn't have too many workers which was okay but one doing boxes in an aisle was going to check to see if there was any Mocha Mix creamer in the back and then never came out. I stood in front of the meat department while someone cleaned up in there. Finally another worker went by and asked if he could go check on the it. Another worker walked up with him and so we had three. Eventually someone came out and told me they didn't have any. I think I waited at least 10 minutes there. To whom this may concern: As much as I hate doing these kinds of posts, this must be heard for everyone that will work or even purchase anything from this location.

Recently, my girlfriend came to me about being stressed out at work, how her management is yelling at her, or raising their voice, enough to stress her out. Long story short, she decided to call in for two days because the of the amount of stress she is dealing with at work. I told her she should use her sickleave. Which would be perfect for this type of situation.. she called her store manager name Darrell to request sickleave, he replied back to her by saying she did not have any sickleave to use. Which is wrong since she has been at this job for over nine months. I had her put me on the phone to talk to her boss. I introduce myself and told him that she will need her sickleave, and he instantly hung up on me.. This was not only inappropriate but unprofessional and we are very upset. The way they are handling their employees at this location and the way they are lying is not professional, and should be looked into by corporate for better training and handling of their employees and also how sickleave works.. unfortunately, we have no choice but to inquire this situation through her local...

The grocery part is great, but unfortunately the woman pharmacist comes across, inconvenienced and annoyed when interacting with consumers. My disabled Uncle was a loyal customer of this location, both with shopping and filling prescriptions. But due to this one woman's inability to be courteous to the people she provides a service for, he is no longer able to shop at this establishment. Every time he had to interact with this person, (whether it be in person or over the phone), he would get so anxious that he would often end up having a panic attack. Yes, that sounds extreme, but anyone who works with vulnerable populations, (such as her WOULD know), that you need to be kind, understanding, respectful and patient. But that really should be standard practice and common sense, as well as be extended to all people. Just because you hold a 'gatekeeper' position for people in need, doesn't mean you are any less human than the rest of us. I believe preschool taught us all, 'Treat others the way you wish to be treated.' If my 4 year old son can uphold that virtue, than I have faith that a well educated woman of her age is able to...
