I'm hopelessly addicted to this pizza! I always get the regular crust, red sauce, mozzarella & parmesan, then the rest varies. I don't get the finishing sauce. I'm pretty traditional and it's great having the option to stay traditional or go crazy & get anything you want. The red sauce so flavorful yet light. All the toppings are super fresh. I've never been there when it wasn't busy, which is great. I'm happy to see them succeed! I personally order on my phone, I like that it remembers my info and I can pay when I order, select the time I want to pick it up, then bypass the ordering line and just go to the register & pick up my hot & ready pizza! This location opened in summer, SO cool the way the windows are like garage doors and can roll open like an open air restaurant. Yes it can be a bit loud but it's people enjoying themselves, lots of laughter and good times here. I love how a staff member will yell hello or goodbye to a customer, and the rest follow, so you have a whole cheering section greeting you or sending you off with a smile. MOD is pretty much a weekly event...
Read moreI'd heard many good things about MOD Pizza, but this was our first time here. The create-your-own pizza pie concept was pretty cool. The fresh dough and vast fresh topping options were a nice change from the long established conventional pizza joints.
The atmosphere was sort of "industrial-loft-hipster", I guess, is as good a description as I can think of; it was cool, but not exactly comfortable as all seats were hard flat wooden slabs and cold steel. It was also a very loud space; not from people, but movement of the metal seats/stools and the kitchen equipment echoing around the concrete floor and corrugated steel walls.
The pizza pies were good sized for individuals and, as mentioned, everything was fresh. I thought, however, that the crust didn't taste that great and the sauce was bland. I went with one of their menu items, but wished I'd added other toppings to get more flavor, once I took a few bites. I will have to try it again and play around with my topping choices and re-evaluate. But for the most part, we were satisfied. Definitely a healthier option than...
Read moreGood pizza. Not to expensive, you pay for the pizza size and then get to choose from different base sauces, cheeses and tons of different toppings and seasonings (price includes unlimited toppings), pretty good quality overall, pizza crust is thin and crispy (they have a deep dish version for $2 more), they have a great selection of toppings you wouldn't normally find in a pizza place, like corn and artichoke hearts. This place is almost set up like a subway sandwiches, you start at the front counter and choose your crust size and type, then sauce, then cheese, then toppings and then a glaze to finish it off (they assemble everything in front of you), and then they put your pizza in and it cooks in about 5 minutes. When it comes out they ask you if you want sauces and seasonings, once that is complete you pay for your pizza at the far end of the counter. It is a pretty cool set up and definitely worth a try. Especially if you are vegan, they have vegan crusts, cheeses,...
