Next Door Eatery and Events — Restaurant in Burlington

This place used to be great. We went a couple of weeks ago and felt the need to leave a review. The menu, the food and the preparation are all completely different. It wasn't just one item, it was everything on the plate that had changed. The grits never needed any additional seasoning, suddenly they're bland and tasteless. The hash browns were soggy and a completely different mealy sausage was made along with undercooked bacon. Only time I've ever paid the check and left the entire meal on the table after a bite of each item.

Was told that a grill went down and they were using a different grill. A different grill doesn't change the ingredient selection being prepared. Its all different.

I recommended this place to everyone and now all of those people share a similar story in recent weeks.

A real shame as it had tremendous potential serving great food at a great price. Hate to see it fail but I will not be returning and everyone I've recommended it too unfortunately share the same sentiment. I think they attempted to go cheap and hope no one would...

I'm sure the owners themselves labeled this the best American Restraunt. It's by far not even close. First of all They don't put white meat on their buffet at all the guy said. Then they don't have hamburgers or chicken sandwiches or chicken tenders on their menu. Very disappointing. We only came because K& W was shut down, and a gentleman directed us to this place. The pictures online are very deceiving. The buffet is small, and there are not many options at all. If this is a new place they have a lot of improvement to do. If it's an established place, they need an overhaul of their food options. We heard people complaining behind us as well. The waitress was named Amanda, and she was phenomenal. Definitely wouldn't return until...

How this place has over 4 star rating blows my mind. I went for lunch during the 12:00 hour and the menue was limited but they had a buffet. I told them I would just do that. Meatballs were rock hard and tasted terrible. The chicken was cold and dry. The sausage was overcooked as well. The mac and cheese was ok but pasta was overcooked. Options were so limited it was not as all even remotely worth what they charge. I left hungry and disgusted. The server was fine and little quiet but other than that...
