As a local and returning customer I was highly disappointed with my most recent visit. I had booked one of the banquet rooms for my first baby shower and within minutes I was sweating due to no air conditioner. I among several other people asked the staff several times about correcting this issues and we were all given lame excuses and the run around about what they could and couldn't do to fix it. One person told us it was locked another told us it would be handle and another told us an air conditioning company had been out twice to look into it. With all these things being said I would think they would have the courtesy to not book the room at all. Due to the air being messed up we had to have several people to leave because they were unable to stand the heat. And that isn't fair to me seeing that it's an event for my guest to enjoy not sweat out! I wasn't able to get in the room in a timely manner to setup due to previous party taking their time to leave. I also wasn't told that there would be a party before us until that morning when I came to decorate. I was told that I would be able to get into the room 20 minutes before my event began and that didn't happen. There was lack of communication on their end. I called on Tuesday to change a menu idea that didn't turn out to be what I wanted. Received a call on Wednesday because I had asked for a quote that I was unable to obtain from the call on Tuesday. The call on Wednesday was from the lady over the banquet room and she had no idea of what food ideas I had requested and never sent me a quote although I was told I would receive one. If I would've been given a quote on the food that I ordered which didn't turn out like I wanted then I would've definitely did without the food. The food was cold and one entrée I order was mixed up with something I didn't order. I was told when I first looked into booking the room and food buffet that with 60 people food would be around $300 unfortunately it was three times that! I would never book, eat, or recommend this place to anyone. I would've been better off cratering my own shower. We went back to talk to management about these things and the lady on duty didn't really seem to care. She didn't bother to take notes about what we were saying nor did she seem sympathetic. Completely unhappy with the customer service and overall experience! This place has definitely did a full 180 and not in a good way at all. Extremely disappointed, unhappy and upset at how...
Read moreIt's truly sad to see a business that is so used to people complaining that they don't even make apologies for it anymore!
My family a party at 6 all met at The Cutting Board to have dinner this evening four members of the party had arrived at 6:50 my husband and I arrived at 7:08 we did not get seated to our table until 7:53 p.m. keep in mind the restaurant closes at 8:30 we did not get our drinks for our order taken until 8:15. We did in fact order the unlimited salad bar after finally getting our drinks and getting our bowls to go make our salads by the time we went to go back for our second bowl it was 8:35 they would not allow us to make any more salad and in fact started taking up the salad bar when we said something to them they said well it's 8:30 we're close so we ordered an unlimited salad bar which was 12.99 and got only one salad. One of the members of our party had ordered an alcoholic drink the waitress had completely forgotten all about it and did not make it at all she never even brought it to the table by the time we did eventually get all of our entrees Cajun Chicken Pasta ribs a burger the only thing that was actually hot was the only child in our party's grilled cheese sandwich and french fries the manager had came to the table with the waitress several times the manager made no attempt not one single time to even apologize for the service in the way we were being treated there were two women that were sitting at the bar totally wasted apparently regulars they go to leave and she spilled her drink everywhere glass goes flying everywhere keep in mind one of the people in our party is a child whose only in the first grade they didn't even clean it up move any of the glass away from our table there was huge chunks of glass scattered everywhere and we had to tiptoe around it to get out the door and leave. This was the first time we've ever been to this restaurant and I guarantee you it will be the absolute...
Read moreI haven't been here in years, it may have been around 15 years total since my last visit. To be fair, the pandemic has really hit the food industry hard. I understand all aspects of how this can affect places of business like this, so please keep that in mind when reading this review.
I will not be coming back to The Cutting Board, nor can I recommend it to anyone. Last night I took a friend to an early birthday for her child. It seemed a 'safe' place to choose for dinner, since it has been around for a long time.
We started out with an appetizer, potato skins. After ordering our entrees, the waitress asked if we ordered potato skins. I was a bit confused, but did acknowledge her that we indeed did order them. She said she saw the ticket open for that app, and closed it out. Then explained they would still come to the table like normal, but we would get a separate check for them? I thought she was confused, but I was even more confused after that.
The food was ok overall. The pricing was outrageous for the portions, however. One of us ordered a burger, I ordered the ribeye sandwich. Neither came with any sides, instead we could choose stale chips out on the condiment bar, or one of the mystery cold salads (one was potato salad, I believe another macaroni?). The condiments were very generic and actually sour tasting (all of them, including the mayo). To not be able to get at least fries or another normal side with a $13 sandwich is pretty ridiculous.
Our waitress was nice, and I know she was trying. The separate/closed ticket for the app was strange though, but I am not really holding that into account for this review. To be quite honest, I think we would have had a more satisfactory meal at Sheetz than here. I hate to be blunt, but it...
