I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Vermont, and it was easily one of the highlights of my trip. I went there two days in a row—once for breakfast and once for lunch/dinner—and each visit left me impressed.
I tried several items: the Philly cheesesteak, burger, kebab chicken, and their unique Kanafa shake. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, with a Mediterranean/Egyptian twist that made the food stand out. The Philly cheesesteak in particular was a must-try—definitely one of the best I’ve had.
What really made the experience memorable was the hospitality. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they went out of their way to accommodate my requests. The chef/owner, Muhammad, even came out personally to check on my meal. He was incredibly humble, genuinely open to feedback, and passionate about improving and evolving the menu. That level of care is rare and made me feel truly valued as a customer.
Another detail I really appreciated: the restaurant is fully halal and does not serve liquor, which adds to the family-friendly and comfortable environment.
Overall, this is a hidden gem in Vermont with so much potential to become a top spot for great food and hospitality. I was told they’re even working on modifying and adding new recipes, which makes me excited to return. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a...
Read moreWe really wanted to like this place. We love Middle Eastern food and the 4.9 google review was a draw. Plus, we want to support local restaurants in Burlington. We ordered two wraps - the falafel and the Chicken shawarma - and the total with tip was about $28. Besides the fact that the falafel was dry, the biggest sin was that the wrap was a flour tortilla from Costco. Unless you know NOTHING about food, a flour tortilla shouldn't be a wrap at a middle eastern place selling falafel and shawarma (of course, we know this because we know Middle Eastern AND Mexican food and know a tortilla when we eat one). I had to throw out the wraps. I fear - with this quality - they will be going out of business soon. One positive: when I went to pick up the order, the guys seem friendly. Too bad this is what they...
Read moreWe visited in the afternoon when it was relatively empty in the restaurant. When we tried to order the shawarma, the cashier told us they were out and it would be a while to make more and we were in a hurry so we asked if they had kofta, he went into the kitchen to confirm and told us that wouldn't be a problem so we ordered a burger and a kofta. After 20 minutes of waiting, we told them we were kinda in a hurry and they told us it would be another 10-15. After 15 minutes (35 minutes after he confirmed they had it!), they told us the kefta wasn't going to be done any time soon, so they had to refund the kofta and all we were able to get was a single burger, which took 40 minutes. It wasn't even a good burger. Incredibly...
