Panera Bread — Restaurant in Burlington

This location was the worst Panera bread location I have ever been to. Incompetent does not even begin to explain the staff that I encountered. It started off at the register with a cashier who spoke so low and mumbled I could not understand a word said. Apparently he couldn’t understand me either since our order was totally wrong. We didn’t get the cookies we ordered and paid for. He didn’t ask if we were carry out or dine in and when I told the people making the order it would be carry out they still packaged it as dine in and then blamed me saying I “changed my mind” rather then the cashier not asking. They then packaged the soups in the bag laying on the side so it spilled in the bag and all over my car leaving nothing to actually eat and one of the sandwiches in the bag ruining it by being soaked in it. The sandwich was made incorrectly. It was ordered plain but was prepared with all the fixings. If you have children who are picky eaters you know that was never going to be consumed. The person preparing my order left in the middle of filling it to socialize. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand but I was driving and need to fuel up my child before his game. This experience may have ruined Panera for him for life. It was truly that bad. I didn’t have time to go back to address the issues because I had to get my child to his game and had to stop at another fast food place in order to get him something he could actually eat! Worst service and food EVER!!! My friend and I arrived at the restaurant at about 8:20pm...they are open until 9pm. We were given a choice of either a cheese sandwich or a tuna sandwich by the girl behind the counter. I asked if they were out of everything else on the menu or why we could only choose between 2 items. She said they were getting ready to close soon. It was almost 45 minutes before their closing time, so I asked again if they were out of the items or if they just didn't want to do their job and make me something of my choice off the menu. I couldn't get a straight answer and my friend and I ended up paying over $40 for half a cheese sandwich, half a stale tuna sandwich on stale bread, a scoop of Mac & Cheese, and a cup of broccoli cheese soup that all tasted funny so who knows what they did to it...because we got pointed out from behind the counter by all of these immature children that have no idea what work ethic is or how to treat customers, so they had to make us out to be the bad people because they will never look in the mirror and realize how pathetic they are or that they are incapable of doing their jobs correctly, or take any responsibility for their wrong actions or poor work habits. Seriously....zi will NEVER step foot in that...
