Sometimes the negative experience can ruin even ice cream! It has been a few years since my kids and I went to Cold Stone Creamery in Burlington, MA since we no longer live in the area. So when we were in the area today, we took the opportunity to get their ice cream. First, two out of the three young workers were pleasant; however, the blonde girl had such a bad attitude. It looked like she dreaded her job. She barely put any fix-ins in the ice cream, slapped it around twice (the mix-ins weren't blended) and sloppily handed the cup --3/4 filled-- to my kid. If anyone has more than one child, you know that if one or more child gets more, the other child who doesn't get the same immediately feels upset. When it came time to pay, the same blonde girl seemed bothered to ring up my order and hand me my receipt, and when I asked for napkins (ice cream was melting + 3 kids), she sighed and basically threw the napkins at me. No smile, no pleasantries, no "thank you" from this worker. I really wanted to add a tip, and I should have handed the other two girls one just to make it clear to the blonde that poor customer service doesn't deserve extra. I hope the manager and owner read this review and speak to their employees and explain what customer service jobs entail. I'm not asking for a lot, just a pleasant experience for my kids and I. The one star is for the other two workers who actually had decent customer service skills and not a poor attitude like the blonde girl did. I can't even rate the ice cream because I was so bothered by this worker's poor attitude that I didn't really enjoy the ice cream. We won't be back at the Burlington,...
Read moreWe thought Cold Stone Creamery would be the perfect spot to take our daughters for some ice cream- my girlfriend and I haven’t been in years so we were excited. I was wrong, I stood at the registers waiting about 6-8 minutes to order in a near empty restaurant. Come to find out after nearly 10 minutes I was standing in the wrong spot, only knew that because a lady came in and went to the right spot and ordered her ice cream before me. Nobody said a word to any of us while we chose our flavors- not even a greeting. Not a great start, but not horrible either, moving on, my apple caramel signature ice cream was great and well made by a blonde girl, my daughter was up next and she got a signature ice cream as well, She was handed a scoop of what looked like just vanilla ice cream in a simple kiddie bowl. I brought it back, asked for the correct waffle cone. This chick slapped the cup upside down into the waffle bowl. My daughter starts eating it and again it looks like a scoop of vanilla. I brought it back up and was told that everything’s correct, we found a single Oreo on the bottom. Very unpleasant attitude from certain employees . I ordered a whole ice cream and the server didn’t say a single word, just nodded her head. Not the best experience and wish the staff acted like they wanted to be there- oh and wish they made their ice cream right and with a little bit of effort. Again, one girl did make my ice cream perfect so at least they had one employee who can do their job. Hopefully managers can help train their employees in customer service and how to make their own...
