Update the owner/manager of this restaurant responded to this review below with lies. I want it to be known that not once did they reach out to us at all to make things right or even return my phone call, instead he lied to try to paint their restaurant in a positive light. Why would I keep calling if someone called me back, unbelievable!! Avoid this establishment at all costs*
I don't know where to start with this one. From beginning to end we've had a pretty horrible experience with this place. The higher reviews are what helped get me to go here, but I wish I never did.
My wife is Indian, and we were looking for different Indian restaurants to order from for Diwali, our favorites weren't doing anything special for the holiday but we saw Treasury had party packs available so we opted to give them a go. I first called to pre order Friday for Saturday but they seemed confused I was calling a day early, so I called back Saturday afternoon to order one of their party packs for 5:30 PM. Again they seemed confused I was ordering in advance but they mentioned on their site limited packs were available so we didn't want to get locked out. When we arrived at 5:30 the food wasn't ready despite ordering hours in advance, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. There was one couple eating in the restaurant, despite that the place was empty except for the workers. The people working there didn't seem like they wanted to be there either, it all felt strangely off. For an Indian restaurant it was odd nobody said Happy Diwali or anything of the sort. Our bill for the party pack with an order of samosas was $148. When we got the bag of food it felt light and I immediately started to worry that there wouldn't be enough food for four people.
When we got home and opened everything up we were missing the samosas we ordered, and also missing a dessert (the owner says I made this up, I was missing one dessert not all four as he's trying to insinuate in his response). We got one tiny rice in our party pack that was $129, which is embarrassing (the total bill was close to $148 when you factor in the additional missing appetizer we ordered). The portion sizes for everything were ridiculously small and not anything I would be proud serving if I owned this restaurant. I called the restaurant to tell them about what happened and about the missing food, and all the person said on the other end is "I'm sorry sir, is there anything else". He didn't even offer a refund on our missing food!! I had to ask for one. I asked for a manager who he said would call me, two days later nobody has called and we still haven't been refunded for the food we were missing.
I'm writing this to warn others in the Burlington area, this is a poorly run overpriced restaurant that is a sad excuse for true Indian quality cuisine. There are plenty of better more deserving restaurants in the area that would appreciate your patronage.
I added some photos so you can see the small portion sizes we got. I also still plan to get refunded for my missing food, it's sad I have to chase them up to do the...
Read moreWe chose to dine at this restaurant primarily because of the advertised association with Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, whose recipes we admire and regularly watch on television. With high expectations, we made a reservation for a Father’s Day dinner and arrived on time.
Unfortunately, our experience fell short from the outset. Despite the reservation, our table was not ready upon arrival. Although we were greeted warmly and asked to wait a few minutes, once seated, the service quickly became disorganized. Our initial server took our order for water and never returned. After requesting water again from another staff member, the response felt dismissive—as though she was doing us a favor.
Throughout the evening, we felt rushed and overlooked. It was clear the staff’s attention was focused on a private banquet event happening in the adjacent room. Our beverage order was incomplete, and when we followed up, we were met with a less-than-welcoming response. Even before we had a chance to enjoy our drinks, we were asked to place our appetizer and main course orders quickly, as we were told the kitchen would soon be preoccupied with the private party.
To our disappointment, the menu we were presented with was a limited, one-day-only Father’s Day menu—poorly designed and not representative of Chef Harpal’s cuisine. We were disheartened to learn that the advertised menu had been replaced for the day, and Chef Harpal himself was not present. It felt as though the restaurant used his name as a promotional tool without delivering on the experience.
Adding to our discomfort, I requested multiple times to have my broken chair replaced, but no one followed up, likely due to the staff’s preoccupation with the banquet guests. After spending nearly $100 per person, we left feeling let down and, frankly, taken advantage of. The food was average at best, and the overall service experience did not justify the price.
Regrettably, we do not plan...
Read moreUpdate: I have been a fan of Treasury since I tried it for the first time. However, we have mostly done take outs and this time decided to go for the in-dining experience. I was honestly a little underwhelmed and disappointed with the service. We made advance reservations for 6 people (included one high chair). Once we got there first the lady at the entrance said she couldn't find our reservation and then had to call someone else to look us up. The restaurant was completely empty at this time but they insisted on finding the reservation. That's completely ok. The second lady then guided us to a table of 4 people which I objected to and asked her how were we (party of 6) were expected to adjust on a table of 4. She literally rolled her eyes at me and very snarkily pointed to another table and said 'you can sit there'. I asked her again how she would have expected us to sit at this smaller table and she was very dry/rude and snappingly said, 'Okkk sit there'. After that she passed our table multiple times but was quite stand offish. Thankfully there was another gentleman who started serving our table, he was extremely polite and humble (as all other times before). Given that the restaurant is fine dining/pricier than average, I would hope and expect that the service would complement the $$ and that the staff would treat customers well.
Apart from this poor service experience, the food was really good and flavorful. I do hope I don't have to interact with this particular service lady again, because I would surely like to continue to visit Treasury.
THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE IN MA SERVING BETTER NORTH INDIAN NON VEGETARIAN FOOD THAN TREASURY!!! The taste of every single thing on their menu is mind-blowing. We loved it so much that we went there two days in a row LOL! I am scared that I will jinx it by saying it too loud but this place is a gem! Please maintain your standards and taste! Will be...
