Wedding Oak Winery is one of Texas' longest-established wineries AND one of the best! The newest iteration in downtown Burnet is a truly magnificent gem. The building is a jewel-like restoration of an original 1883 limestone building which has been (amongst other things) a hardware store, a GTE phone switch/center, a teen center, the Burnet Post Office and--most recently--the Burnet Chamber of Commerce.
The wines are all delightful for their varieties, the setting is delightful, and I URGE you to LOOK FOR THE SKULL & CROSSBONES set into the interior of the Eastern exterior wall ( near the stairs ).
