I did the 10k and attended the festival. There was no one at the race finish keeping non-runners off the course so you had to call out or go around people strolling around the festival grounds. Even having one person taking care of this would have been helpful. It’s also one of the only races I’ve done where they don’t give out finisher medals.
The festival itself is a bunch of vendors and a carnival. I don’t have kids and I don’t buy a lot of stuff, so there wasn’t much else for me to do after the race. Read moreWe went to the Bethlehem re-enactment in Burnet and visited the town square to see the lights. It was opening night and was busy. We got in fairly quick. We parked on Jackson street near the Baptist church, and came in behind Mojos coffee shop to access parking. It gets busier and the line gets very long so it is best to go the first weekend to see it. It was really neat to go back in time and visit Bethlehem. We had a great time, everything was so organized, lots of food options, great carnival options for kids, public restrooms were clean, so many options for shopping among the various vendors. We simply loved it and would highly recommend it!!!
