Chip's Shrimp & Fish Shack — Restaurant in Burton

Today while deciding on a place to eat my girlfriend mentioned she wanted shrimp so after a search on google we ended up choosing this place and boy are we glad we did. I haven't been to a restaurant that made me feel that at home in a long time. Absolutely lovely staff and everything you'd expect from a local shop. Lets start with the food we tried. We ordered "Just Shrimp" and Rib Tips to start and then to finish off our meal we got strawberry cake and a fresh peach cobbler brought right from the back. I'll start with the Cobbler and say I'll be back for more. Jesus that was absolutely delicious. a Wonderful blend of spices while not being to sweet god I'm regretting only have gotten one typing this. Strawberry cake was delicious but i cant lie that wasn't my dessert so i only had a small taste and I let my girlfriend indulge in one of her new favorites. Rib tips were absolutely incredible and served in a healthy portion along with the sides we got sweet potato and coleslaw. I can't lie I went with safer sides not knowing what I was walking into but they nailed those too. Simple and delicious. The Shrimp were fried perfectly and seasoned. The look of absolute joy that came over me when I had one of those shrimps and realized it was salted well and not over battered along with a healthy size shrimp was one for the books. Having come from south Florida a while back it has honestly been 2 years since I had great shrimp and you guys nailed that too. I wish I would've taken the time to get everyone's name but I'm sure ill see all those wonderful smile again! Absolutely looking forward to the next time because I'm coming for the Smothered Pork Chop and that phenomenal banana budding thing you allowed me to sample! Wow if you look I gave this place a great review my first time going there September 2016. Finally had the opportunity to go to this BBQ place once again. Wow what a difference 6 months makes.I ordered the BBQ polish sausage, sounded so good to me. She rang me up and it was $ 7.90. I thought hmm I must of ordered a dinner or lunch item, because No way would a polish sausage Be almost $8.00 dollars. After waiting I thought well maybe it comes with a side dish or french fries. They finally call my order out the lady ask me do you want bread or a bun? I thought well yes I want a bun She microwaved a bun opened the box and put it in. I looked at her and this pitiful burned crusty old polish sausage and I thought oh my god look at this. Needless to say it was so hard and over cooked you could only get a small bite from the center the sides were so hard and old a steak knife could not cut it. So my visit to this place is done. I would rate there food a 1 would hate to see what ribs look like probably BBQ BONES. Next time I crave BBQ I well go to Farmers Market and go to good...

Oh my gosh this food is SO GOOD!! We came in on a weekend night after a meeting we went to in the area (we live about an hour and a half north unfortunately!). Staff was EXTREMELY busy with call in carry out orders, and there were probably about five people before us waiting on their carry out dinners. Our food took a while, probably about a half hour, the sweet girl at the counter gave us a heads up about this before we paid so it was no big deal. Once we got our food, we were in heaven! Everything on both of our plates was hot and delicious!! The girl working the counter and phone went out of her way to run the food to our table, and checked on us a couple of times. She made us feel very welcome, and was knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. If we lived closer, this would be a normal weekly tradition! I look very forward to the next time we can have a FABULOUS dinner with you all....
