This Bristol Rd Kroger is the local grocery store for my wife and I, so we frequent this Kroger, in fact, we probably visit on average between 3 and 5 times per week. Everything is great here with two exceptions, one of them is a big concern for me coming from the customer service industry myself. The first and less bothersome concern I have is the lack of consistent stocking of products. It's probably around a 40 to 50% rate now that they'll be out of the juice my wife drinks on any given day. They either need to stock significantly more of it, or step up their stocking routine just a little bit and try to ensure the juice is stocked before the after-work rush comes through daily. My major issue lies with the completely unprofessional, and far too often warnings of the store closure time. I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say that starting between 830 & 9 nightly, these warnings begin and you'll hear them literally every 5 minutes that entire last hour to 1.5 hours. Aside from how absurd that is in itself, it's the language spoken during these warnings that really does it for me. I've heard the lady on the intercom literally say things like "we'll be closing in 15 minutes and we want to go home just like y'all do, and the machines will be cutting off at 10pm sharp". To me, this is extremely rude to the customers and totally uncalled for. I was in Home Depot last week, a much larger store with a ton more associates on staff than Kroger, yet the entire last hour of business the warnings didn't start until 30 minutes prior to closing, and were only mentioned 2 or 3 times total. Once at 930, one at 945, and I honestly can't recall if there was one at 955pm or not at this point. Either way, the announcement was quick, to the point, clear, and done very professionally so the customers who could not help being there at that time didn't feel uncomfortable or as if they were bothering someone. ...and it certainly wasn't mentioned that the self checkout kiosks would shut down at 10pm. Obviously that just doesn't happen anywhere, and shame on Kroger for making customers feel out of place by simply stopping in to grab a few necessities at the only time available to them on that given day. I even have been reminded of "we close in 30 minutes" by employees outside as I'm walking into Kroger! I hope other people will speak up about this so the leadership team at Kroger can rectify this negative and toxic behavior, so more customers aren't driven away from their local...
Read moreSince the closing of my neighborhood Kroger in Fenton rd. I have attempted to mive my Kroger patronage to the nect cloest Kroger on Bristol Rd. IT IS HORRENDOUS, NASTY, AND EXTREMELY UNSAFE. DO NOT GO THERE WITHOUT YOUR OWN SECURITY GUARD. The signage for their numerous sales is either missing or wrong. But the worst are the customers and the employees that are overwhelmed to by the crimes to the point of apathy. My last visit, two weeks ago, I was approached twice by the same unkept duo of young men panhandling me for cash. Pretty darn scary. It was in the far back area of the store by dairy. I reportred the incidents to the male clerk up front. He and the female cashier both looked at me like should realize it happens everyday. No questions, apologies or follow up. I swore I would not return to this location. But today I discovered my cat was out of her catfood...Kroger brand Pet Pride pate. I am going to HAVE to wean her to something else. Todays visit I had to pass a man appearing to have DTs and possibly urinated on himself leaning against the entrance. Two people smoking as I entered the inside. I Grabbed a case of catfood and tried check out quickly and hurry out. As I finished checking out, a very grubby man walked quickly near me cutting off my exit. It was obvious he had several items inside his coat. He frightened me and I shouted to the 2 male employees standing there "He's stealing groceries!" One of them walked out front and said calmly, "Hey, I am going to call the police." And walked back into the store. Never spoke to me or offered assisting me to my car....
Read moreI DID NOT LEAVE THIS REVIEW EVEN THOUGH ITS CORRECT. THESE REVIEWS ARE ALTERED BY EITHER GOOGLE OR KROGER!! MY REVIEW I LEFT YESTERDAY IS BELOW. Busy, the entrance is way to crowded. Street bums beg for cash and Kroger let's them. I walked in and local bum was digging through the trash inside at the front door next to the cashier. My review here. STORE IS NEVER STOCKED. Went to buy Milo's tea on 10-13-22 and it had Kroger brand in it's place. I asked the person at the front desk why it has been empty for over 3 weeks. Her reply was it is normally full we just sell out daily. I contradicted her reply as I put several jugs of orange juice behind where the tea was. They are still there to this day as of 2 weeks ago. Incompetent people stocking supplies not putting stuff where it goes and filling holes with anything so they can get out of their job. Kroger needs to train their people or get rid of them. As for the workers as well they need to stop lying to the customers. October 14th day after. I went there again today for dog food. On the store website it says they have it in stock. I go there this morning the shelves are almost empty. The only thing in stock was the super expensive dog food. I again ask why there's no dog food. Their reply supply shortages. I took it upon myself to look in their back room and there are two pallets of dog food stacked in the back. I believe Kroger's goal is too push the expensive product before stocking the cheaper. Corporate greed...
