China One — Restaurant in Butler

Last night was “one of THOSE nights.”

My kids had been misbehaving all day, I ruined dinner, and we just needed to feed people and get them into bed.

I called China One and placed my order, and the lady who took my order was probably the nicest person I’ve talked to in a customer service situation in years. She was incredibly patient while my kids were being wild in the background, and when I apologized for the madness she assured me she understood, she’s got kids too.

Our food arrived about half an hour later, hot and smelling AMAZING. As we unpacked the bag, we unexpectedly found a second order of General Tso’s chicken...I didn’t know upon ordering that there is a coupon for this if your order is over $40. What a nice surprise!

Our veggie lo mein had more veggies than I’ve ever seen in an order. Our spring rolls were crisp and fresh. The crab rangoon filling is to die for, even if the edges were a little more crunchy than anticipated. The General Tso’s was crisp and sweet with the perfect amount of spice. My husband says the Sesame Chicken was “killer” so it must be good.

This was a great experience especially given the circumstances and overall mood in our home when we ordered delivery. We will most certainly be ordering from here...

No stars! We waited 2.5 hrs for our food so I finally went to go pick it up after calling the restaurant 45 times and them never answering Or answering and hanging up! Once I got there the guy said he left 5 mins ago which it takes 10 mins to get there so I was like well by the time I get back he’ll be there... no I made it to the restaurant and back before the delivery even showed up! Called the restaurant again to ask for something free he told me I’ll get a discount for next time when there won’t be a next time because before this when we tried to order they just never answered their phones! So I told him I want my meals free he said ok and hung up I told the delivery guy and he stated it wouldn’t be taken from the restaurant it would be taken from his pay check and that he’s lose the money so I felt bad and gave him the total for our bill plus tip! Who does that to the employees of it was real that they lose the money not the company, that’s bull! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL, TERRIBLE SERVICE! We used to really like this place based on cost versus value, but a recent lunch there has swayed my opinion. I like to eat a lot so I ordered a “dinner“ which cost more than the lunch special that my wife ordered. We both had the general Taos chicken with fried rice. When the waitress brought us our food, both plates looked to be the same size. And the waitress said “he must’ve made you both dinner specials and gave you both more.” They both looked to me to be the size of a lunch special. Also my fried rice was basically cold, or at least room temperature.... which I thought odd because we came right at 11 AM, the same time the restaurant opened. Yes it is cheap there but my opinion- you get what you pay for. Also, we just ordered water. They gave us bottles of water, which I thought a little odd… Then when we got the check, the water bottles each...
