Harvey's Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in Butler

If zero stars was an option, that is what I would give them. My son wanted a Slayer themed cake for his birthday. I reached out to Harvey’s Sweet Shoppe, and sent 2 photos of what I was looking for (first pic). We decided on the first one & I gave them a $30 deposit. The cake was $60 total. Yesterday, I went to pick up the cake. What I got (second pic) looked like a child decorated it. I was surprised because all of the cakes in the reviews and on their page looked amazing. Where the logo is, it was just a printed out sheet rather than a design made from fondant, and you could see the paper. The name looked like a toddler iced it. The sides were lumpy and weird with this band of more of the paper print out stuff. I reached out to Brittany with my disappointment, and all she could offer was to bring it back for a refund because she wasn’t available to “whip me up a new one”. Being that it was the day of his party and I had no other option I chose to keep the cake figuring I was having 8 teenage boys over and they would eat it despite how terrible it looked. Well, when teenage boys won’t eat something, you know it’s bad! The icing was like eating pure grease/crisco, the outer frosting had no flavor and the cake itself (which was chocolate) was dry and dense and just oddly textured. Never once was their accountability for the awful design and execution, or any offer to try and fix it or even replace it with something else. Just an offer to bring it back “untouched” and she would refund it. I realize that I kept the cake and I’m not expecting a refund (and I certainly don’t want another cake), I just want people to know so they don’t spend their money on a badly made, horrible tasting cake from Harvey’s...

We used Harvey's Sweet Shoppe for our wedding cake and we were so pleased with the experience! Brittney was so easy to work with and made the process of ordering our cake a breeze.

We planned our wedding on a short timeline and, therefore, ordered the cake closer to our date than usual, but Brittney was able to accommodate us easily. She was even able to decorate our cake as requested based on the style we liked! Plus, they did a great job with delivery and our cake arrived on time and beautiful!

We went with a classic almond raspberry cake and it was absolutely delicious and all of our guests loved it! We also love the fact the Harvey's Sweet Shoppe offers a free one year anniversary cake, so we can enjoy our cake again as we celebrate our first year of marriage.

Overall, we had a great experience working with the bakery and would absolutely work...

I live close to this bakery but I've never been inside. I have to use a wheelchair, and there are steps to get in that stop me. I do however have a caregiver who brought me a pecan roll from this place when she arrived this morning.

She handed it to me after warming it in the microwave. It was huge and it looked amazing. I would have uploaded a picture of it, but the second I took a bite, l couldn't think of anything else. I love food, and I really like pecan rolls, but this was something else. It was fresh, moist, and dense. It hard loads of pecans with a sweet glaze and the perfect amount of cinnamon. I can't say enough about how delicious that pecan roll was.
