Read moreMy brother and I stopped in this town on a trip. We were tired from 12 hours driving. After checking into a motel, we asked about good food. It was around 8pm so we wanted a good meal, not a typical fast food place. We were told about this restaurant. We entered the restaurant to find a slightly dated place, but by no means uncomfortable. It had some, but not alot, of the old timey stuff you see clogging dated restaurants these days. The staff greeted us warmly and led us to an area of the restaurant and allowed us to pick our table from those available. Drinks were ordered and arrived promptly. I cannot recall if there was an alcohol selection. We had water and tea. Both were of good flavor so I guess the water is filtered and/or not treated with chlorine. I ordered a chicken fried bacon cheeseburger with french fries and a side of white gravy. I don't recall my brother's order. The food arrived in a timely manner and looked great from the start. My burger came with peppered white gravy on the chicken fried hamburger patty along with the regular fixings. The burger was juicy and tender with a deliciously flavorful fried crust, complemented with that pepper gravy. The fries were fantastic. Big thick fries with crunchy outsides and creamy potatoe goodness within. The quantity was more than expected and, in fact, I could not finish mine. Overall, the visit was very nice. The staff were all polite, kind, and expedient. Food was fantastic. The cost was moderate to low for the excellent quality of the dinner. I live far away from this restaurant. However, if I ever find myself going within 100 miles of it, I will include it...
Read moreI just had the worst experience at a restaurant. My partner and I have been driving all day for some reason we had to wait for an hour to get our food at lunchtime at a different restaurant and we pulled into Butte and we saw your restaurant had good reviews so we went there. I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered the mac & cheese and a salad and then we got our salads of ice berg lettuce and underripe tomatoes and then we waited and we waited and we waited and we waited and finally after an hour our food came and I was served boxed mac & cheese. I could’ve just gone to Safeway across the street to buy myself a box of mac & cheese, and gone back to my Airbnb and cooked it myself in less time. I thought I was going to get real homemade mac & cheese. They kept apologizing for the wait, saying it was going to be worth it. It was not worth it- that I got boxed mac & cheese. you should be ashamed of yourself or at least specify in the menu that it’s boxed mac & cheese that little kids will like or something. I declined the mac&cheese and my partner asked for his sirloin steak to be boxed up. Back at the air bnb he stated, “ I didn’t know that you could get a steak this bad. I’m not even kidding. This is possibly the worst restaurant meal I’ve had in my life.” Do not go there. We are from Spokane, Washington and in our ‘50s. It’s not like we have impossibly...
