It was very early morning on 10/7. My husband and I had just driven through drizzle, fog and very heavy traffic on I-20 and I-75 in Georgia. We saw the Waffle House sign on the freeway and decided to turn off on exit 149 in Byron. We went inside to see one of the cleanest WH we had EVER eaten in in years. The entire facility (kitchen, bathrooms, floors AND all tables) were a very wonderful and welcome sight. Oh, that’s not the best of what we experienced. The food was EXCELLENT, hot and cooked as if Gordon Ramsey, himself made it. Folks, this was a location where folks came in and the staff knew what they ate, their names and talk about friendly and courteous!! I did not get the two very welcoming ladies names, but everyone else knew them. These ladies truly represent WH and every location should take notice and training. I have to believe this location in Byron is successful. This is what all Waffle House locations should mimic. We left with our tall hot coffee’s and made it safely home 540 miles down the...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a good experience with Waffle House, then let me tell you about this one. My husband and I coming from Ft. Valley with a guest from Japan crossed the bridge and turned left to go to Waffle House #1086. An adorable lady in her late 60’s came to our table to take our order. We really enjoyed her personality and taking care of us so well. So when we go to Waffle House in our area this is the one we go to. Today when we went we noticed a lady that looked identical to our favorite waitress. We asked her if they were sisters and she said they’re twins! They both have worked for Waffle House since 1977. The cooks worked diligently and our breakfast, as always, was delicious!! So if you’re looking for a Waffle House that’s like family this is the one to go to! Going I-75 South it’s to your left across the bridge next to a gas station....
Read moreThe service here has severely gone downhill lately. Not sure what is going on. We noticed the waitresses standing around talking when there are tables that clearly need cleaning. Customers are waiting to be seated and it seems the waitresses are waiting on each other to clean the tables (just laziness). They don’t care how long you have been patiently waiting for a table. Also, we have noticed drama between the employees. We recently started going to the Waffle House in Perry near the fairgrounds due to the awful service here (yeah, we drive to Perry from Byron for a better experience). They are top notch! When people get up from a table, someone is cleaning it immediately. That is what good service is. And we don’t have to wait long before a waitress is at our table taking our order. They are definitely doing something right here! The staff...
