Very disappointing. My family and I stopped at this exit for food on the way to Florida. The options were fast food or this bbq place. We chose bbq. We thought it was odd that they weren't swamped inside at dinner time but then we saw they had a busy outside drive thru. Ordering was simple, although prices seemed high. My husband's pulled pork plate/combo didn't come with a bun? Perhaps he missed the details? I only ordered a pulled pork sandwich and one side of green beans. I gave my husband the bun from my sandwich and noticed my meat portion was quite meager. I thought the pulled pork tasted pretty good with their bbq sauce. My husband wasn't impressed with the pulled pork, he wouldn't recommend it. The side of green beans for $1.99, is tiny! It's a good portion for a small toddler. See the pics. I took a pic of my meal and my little ones meal. Almost enough for my 4 year old. The kids meal was $4-$5. She got 5 mini corn dogs and a tiny side of mac and cheese. Nothing else included in that. The mac and cheese was dry and not much flavor. 😞 Both my husband and 4 year old didn't care for it. If you're eating here definitely go for the green beans. They tasted great. My teenager got the chicken tender kids meal. I asked her how it was and she said, "Ehh, okay." In summary, for the price we paid, we definitely feel like the food was sub-par. We probably won't return. Maybe other items on the menu are better? I guess just don't go in with high...

If you are reading this, please avoid this restaurant as there are better BBQ joints nearby worth your time instead.
The food was severely bland, and proportions were underwhelming to say the least considering the price. The brisket was tough and fatty, and the portion was a singular thin cut. The pulled pork was a single scoop, similar to an ice cream scoop in size, and was already coated in some barbeque sauce. The meat itself was thin and stringy, making it a rather mushy texture. Mac n' cheese was nothing special, nothing more than something you could make from a box. The one saving grace was sweet potato tater tots. This side dish was actually quite pleasant and would recommend if you must eat here. Hot and crispy, tasting exactly as you would expect a sweet potato tater tot to be.
While the atmosphere was fine, and decor looked nice, the actual tables and sauce bottles were greasy to the touch.
The service was just fair. Hostess was unable to provide any recommendations, which should've been the first red flag, and when the food came out part of the meal was missing. However, the missing item was remedied without question.
Overall, I would pass on this restaurant chain entirely. I can't imagine this being a single location issue.
If you are looking for BBQ in the area, would recommend Phatboyz Smokehouse($$$) or Jim n' Nicks($$). Much better BBQ...
Read moreI’m a truck driver that travels up and down I -75 in GA & Fl. I have wanted to try Georgia Bob’s for sometime. We’ll I was in the area today in my pick up truck. I say that because most places don’t have tractor trailer parking available. We were very disappointed in the meals we ordered. The counter help seemed like she couldn’t be bothered. The food was mostly cold. My wife had a bbq pork sandwich and fries. The meat was warm the bun cold. No pickle offered for the sandwich. The fries looked really good but were below average. I had the brisket plate which comes with two sides. I wasn’t offered sliced or chopped. My sides were Mac & cheese and sweet potato tater tots. The brisket came chopped with a few slices, it was warm not hot and was served with bbq sauce. I like to choose my bbq sauce. The Mac n cheese was cold. I couldn’t eat it. We also ordered banana pudding but after we order we were told they only had chocolate pudding which was described as chocolate pudding but it had something in the bottom of the cup that I don’t know what it was. The price for this meal was $38.00. I told my Wife we could just leave but she was hungry so we picked at our plates. I don’t recommend the Byron Georgia Bob’s. I was very...
