A sweet friend ordered pizza/wings for us from this location because we have had a death of a child in our family. It had to be delivered via Uber Eats because we are outside of the delivery zone. When it was delivered, it was missing the wings. I am unfamiliar with how things work so I called Pizza Hut first to see what could be done. A very rude young man asked when we were coming to pick them up. I explained that I couldn't due to having my nieces nephew who just lost their sister with me. That was the point in the delivery. He then told me to take it up with Uber Eats and hung up as I was trying to ask was Pizza Hut not responsible to get the order correct. At no point did he ever apologize for Pizza Huts oversight in missing putting the wings with our order. Some sympathy, sensitivity and, at the very least, an apology would have gone a long way. I called back and asked to speak to the manager. I was put on hold for a long while before the SAME guy picked up the phone again and then said he was the manager. I asked if he was the guy I just spoke with and he said no. I proceeded to explain about the rudeness at which point he yelled, "That is not the way our conversation went!!" I called him out on lying about who he was and I said there was no way he was the manager because he sounded like he was about 14 and he yelled that I was very rude. At this point, I couldn't emotionally handle the conversation. He was completely insensitive to the situation, unprofessional, childish and would barely let me get in a word. Don't come here if you want quality, professional service or any hint of kindness because you won't...
Read moreThis restaurant steals tips from doordash drivers. I delivered to a customer who told me they were a fellow driver. They asked how much I got paid. $7. Doordash has base pay of $2. She told me she tipped $10. So pizza hut took half of the tip to pocket for themselves. It's allowed to happen because when a customer orders delivery through the stores website instead of doordash, it's a contract between the customer and the restraunt. Legally speaking when the store serves that order out to a doordash driver they don't have to give them ANY slice of the tip. Even worse this isn't a souless corporation standard, it's entirely up to the local franchise owner/manager how much of the tip actually goes to the driver. Very scummy business practice to be pocketing(stealing) tips meant for doordash drivers.
Edit: The owner response is a blatant lie. Tips are handled by doordash when ordered directly from doordash. When ordered through pizza hut app it's sent to the store location where it then has to be dished out to either their own driver or to a third party service(doordash). When sent to the third party service they then can enter a custom tip amount...
Read moreI've visited this Pizza Hut many times over the years, both Pre-COVID and Post-COVID. The linch buffet has always been a real value with some of the best flavors always offered along with special flavor requests always being cheerfully honored... UNTIL my visit yesterday! I found the buffet price raised $2.00 and the drink price for soft drink, tea, or water raised as well... WATER!! REALLY!!! So for two people to eat a buffet was over $30.00 and then to add insult to the mix the staff was terrible and consistently told us they couldn't add the BBQ Pizza to the buffet. Really, why? This one topping pizza costs $0 more on the menu then any other one topping pizza. The bar was not maintained with about three, what looked like 2 hour old partial pizzas being the only offering. All jalapeño and whatever flavor... NEWS FLASH.... NOT EVERYONE likes jalapeños on everything. The pasta had set for so long it resembled a poor concrete pour.
Don't get me wrong, I love Pizza Hut, but this was ridiculous in every way. Going forward I'll visit Larry's Pizza for the buffet at the same price but with a much...
