Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Cabot

I love DQ but my first trip to the new location in Cabot was a huge disappointment. First the flashing sign above the counter on the menu board declaring popcorn shrimp was "back" was false. Ok no big deal but Whoever the girl at the register confirmed it with was rude. Ok next.... I could have gotten a better cheeseburger out of a McDonald's Happy meal than the $9 bacon cheese burger I got at Cabot DQ. My "Grill burger" tasted like it had been cooked with a torch for about 2 days and my bacon could have been described more as petrified than crisp. My wife's brownie ice cream thingamajig (accurate description bc looking at it I had no idea what she had ordered) came served in an upside down lid off some sorts. The brownie was much more like cake than a brownie. I usually only leave reviews for positive experiences but here's to $50 wasted. Within the last year I have also visited the new Sherwood location a couple of times without complaint. I won't be back to the Cabot location after this trip. Hindsight what it is, there's a couple similar local cabot venues that are far better choices...

The food and ice cream is usually great. Typically the service is amazing, but apparently the hiring has gotten a little lax. I was mistakenly given the wrong burger. No big deal. When I went inside to very politely talk to my order taker, some skinny flunky who smelled like the wrong side of a plunger and quite obviously doesnt believe in haircuts or showers decided to step in and interrupt. While I was discussing the order with the super polite little girl he kept talking over me, attempting to shame me for not knowing the parameters of their different patties. In front of my children and the entire restaurant. When i finally told him to leave me alone he persisted, insisting that he was trying to understand why I was complaining. Finally, I had had enough and just walked away and shortly after the kind little girl brought me my burger. I watched as the skinny little brat argued with a couple of more tables as my children and I ate our food. I probably won't be coming back to dairy queen in cabot. Very disappointed with our experience, we wanted to grab something quick before church for breakfast and it was not that. We had to pull up and wait for our food for over 10 minutes, (the car behind me also had to wait). My husband wanted the biscuits with bacon and was not told it didn’t come with eggs on it, I got two orders of (2) sausages and got charged for it when I only wanted 1 order of 2, the pancakes and sausages were very greasy and we a asked for iced coffee and were told they only had lattes. So we got that but turns out their lattes don’t even have coffee or espresso it’s coffee extract flavoring and ice cream which is not at all what we wanted but we were only told that after we had been waiting 10 minutes and they said their ice cream machine was giving them problems. I love this dairy for lunch and treats but my breakfast experience was extremely disappointing. My total was also $31 when I could have sat down at a restaurant and got better/even more food for only a...
