I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. My party was small (3 people), and we were seated immediately because the restaurant was not that busy. We waited for 15 minutes before anybody had even taken our drink order, and when someone finally did it was the hostess instead of a server. We then sat there for 30 minutes watching multiple servers walk past our table, none of them paying us any mind. It got to the point where we had to ASK someone to please take our order. 30 minutes later our fried pickle appetizer came out cold, as well as the basket of rolls (which is complimentary, but again we had to ask someone to bring us). Another 35 minutes passes before we’re brought our food. The food was terrible, one of the meals being plain, untoasted white bread in a bowl of gravy with a few pieces of turkey thrown on it. We explained to the waitress that we had been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes and she argued that it hadn’t been that long but said she would take the drinks off of the bill. We told her we did not want to pay for the soggy white bread they tried to pass as a dinner, she was unhappy and starting to become rude at this point but said fine. Not 5 minutes after receiving our food we asked for a box (for the baked potato, the rest of the food was left on the table.) We waited another 10 minutes just for the box. I asked the hostess if there was a manager on duty, and surprise surprise, it was our server Susan. We decided not to leave a tip because it was a terrible experience, and she came up behind us and started yelling “thanks for nothing!” , swore at us, and basically shoved us out the door. We will not be returning or recommending - which is a real loss for them. I work just a few miles away at one of the hotels where guests ask me for restaurant recommendations on the daily, and up until today I said Burke’s. Never again....
Read moreI stopped here for a lunch with a party of 4. Of this party of 4, 3 of us ended up getting sick.
Food was lukewarm when served. I had asked for sauteed mushrooms with my 14oz ribeye, and I barely got enough for half the steak. Two of us had chosen the garlicky green beans as a side. These were served barely cooked, and almost cold.
Three of my party ordered ice water with lemon for our drink. It was visibly cloudy when served, and tasted like fish. It almost seemed like they had gone outside to the lake, dipped the glass in, dropped a few ice cubes in, and garnished with the lemon on the rim. None of us drank more than half a glass.
The water is what we suspect made us sick, since the 3 of us who did get sick are the 3 that had water. The 4th person had a margarita.
One of our party had ordered deluxe beef nachos. These were absolutely worthless. It was more like a salad (a lot of lettuce) on top of chips with a bunch of re-fried beans and only a few small chunks of beef.
With the prices charged here, you're literally paying for the view. Not the quality of food.
I was very disappointed. If I'm paying $32 for a 14oz ribeye steak meal, that would cost me only about $12 to make at home, I expect it to be an amazing meal. Not below average. The entire party felt this way, though the one person who got "fish and chips" (which didn't come with chips for some reason...) did thoroughly enjoy the fish.
Lastly, our (very young looking) waitress spent more time in the front room sitting at a table doing who knows what than she did keeping tabs on her customers. It felt like this played a part in our food arriving in a lukewarm state.
This was one of the most disappointing $100 (+tip) I've ever spent. We...
Read moreI usually enjoy this restaurant! Great food and environment! Today I had a horrible waitress and unfortunately that completely clouded my judgement of this facility. The waitress stood at the end of our table, my husband and I both ordered the Cajun eggs Benedict (highly recommend) with our hash browns extra crispy and a side of sour cream for me. We waited a bit for our food, then she brought my husband his Cajun and handed me a regular eggs Benedict with a side of scrambled eggs? I sent it back and said I would still like the Cajun. She said it will take 15 minutes or would you just prefer to keep this? I said no that I would wait. It took longer than 15 minutes, my whole party was able to finish their meal before mine came back. She asked if I just wanted it in a to-go container and I said might as well. She then brought me the correct meal and handed me a box. It all would’ve been fine but I asked to have it taken off my bill for the massive inconvenience of having to wait extra. I had a 5 month old with me, I had taken insulin as a type one diabetic, but she said no because “you ordered a regular Benny, I didn’t put it in wrong.” If she would’ve taken responsibility that she placed the order incorrectly it would’ve been fine, but she continued to argue with me in front of the whole restaurant. I ended up just sending the food back because she insisted on arguing. We were STILL charged half of this even though I didn’t have a single lick of food. As I mentioned, I had already taken insulin as a type one diabetic. This could easily have turned into a medical emergency. Not impressed with Lili at this facility and management should really consider having a...
