Okay, to clear confusion, this is actually 2 places in one. 10 speed Coffee (cafe) and Pedaler's fork (restaurant/bar). There is a bike repair shop there as well and I think they plan weekly rides.

I'm reviewing from the perspective of a cafe patron but the food is technically from the restaurant.

For me, the #1 draw of this place is the atmosphere.Their indoor seating area is very warm and inviting but the best spot is their deck space. This area is enclosed completely from the parking lot and road by the restaurant itself and a creek with trees. It is also covered so it is mostly in shade.

As for the food and coffee, I really enjoyed their maple latte which I had iced. It has a good balance of richness and sweetness. It isn't a super-sweet dessert drink, which is nice with breakfast.

I've had two meals here, The Frida, a brisket sandwich and their breakfast sandwich. Both were good and I had them with crispy little potatoes. Prices are on the expensive side but you can tell they use higher quality ingredients and they are probably typical for the Calabasas area.

I would probably rate 4 stars, but I was helped by the same gentleman both times I visited and his service was very good.

Definitely check it out if you like a nice outdoor area to sit and drink coffee while you work/read/draw.

ALSO parking is behind the restaurant and you enter through there then order at the...

10 Speed Coffee is a hidden gem tucked behind Calabasas Rd in a quiet little nook--not exactly the kind of place you'd stumble upon unless you're lost or in-the-know. It's a sleek, cozy spot, but the two entrances make the line feel like a choose-your-own-adventure-especially when it's busy and the baristas are working at lightning speed.

The back patio is where this place really shines--shaded, peaceful, and centered around a small decorative pond that adds a surprisingly zen vibe. It's ideal for a first date, a quiet work session, or tossing around big ideas (my wife and I treat it like our unofficial creative office-slash-people-watching HQ).

The cortado? Strong, smooth, and Cuban-grandma approved--which is a gold standard in my book. The avocado toast is a sleeper hit: arugula, sesame seeds, cucumber, a dash of spice--it's basically an edible spa day. Now, about those ceiling heaters. They're always on in the mornings and will slowly roast you like a free-range chicken. You can ask to have them turned off, but it becomes a weird social dance with the table next to you--do they want it off? Are you the problem?

Still, between the strong coffee, great food, and tranquil vibes, it's a solid spot. Just bring a fan... or maybe a...

Thank you for the great experience!! Especially during covid. My boyfriend and I we're in the area for an appointment. We live in the central valley... Anywho, we are both avid coffee drinkers. We absolutely love finding the best coffee spots whenever we visit another city. We googled coffee shops near us and 10 Speed popped up! We both cycle as well so this made is even more excited to visit!! We arrived and instantly knew we were going to enjoy the coffee and atmosphere. We walk towards the entrance and we notice the mezuzah on the door and it sparked joy for us since we're also Jewish. The barista was so sweet. I forget her name but she had the sides of her head shaved and wore glasses. I purchased our drinks (cold brew and americano) but since we weren't gunna be back anytime soon I had to purchase a cycling cap and a pound of kickstand to take home. Oh, and some stickers.

Thanks for the great coffee and experience!! I highly recommend this place. So comfortable and so good with down to...

Our first visit here was a terrible experience. The service deserves zero stars. There was no one to greet us, and no sign at the parking lot entrance to indicate where to go. We seated ourselves at a table, only to learn we needed to go to the other end of the restaurant. Once we finally received menus, we were asked to move to a smaller table to make room for other guests. We ordered a dessert and a latte, but after a long wait, the latte arrived in a to-go cup, and the plates we received were dirty. When we mentioned it was our first time there, neither waiter seemed to care. When we asked why the latte was in a to-go cup, they simply said they had run out of regular cups. It would have been courteous to inform us beforehand. Dining out is about the experience, and this experience was severely lacking. If they ran out of plates, would they have served our meals in takeout containers too? Both waiters were rude, unapologetic, and dismissive. We ended up canceling our order and leaving without eating.
