UPDATE: They treated my husband so horrible. I emailed them 3 times and they still haven’t responded. So their response to email them is a waste. They don’t care about their customers and won’t respond to emails. Let alone 3 of them. What a waste of time emailing you guys. I’ll have to just have to contact Better Business Bureau. I will Also be contacting Mayor Kraut about the prejudice against my husband.
My husband came in here this evening to place a to go order. The guy who greeted him said oh you want to place an order, cause usually I don’t take orders. Well he went ahead and was able to place the order with him , and when my husband was about to pay cash, he said oh we don’t take cash. My husband said let me run to the car and get my card, he said oh no it’s ok, they’ll like it. (We don’t know so they are). So my husband pays with $100 cash, and guy ask how much do you want back. My husband says keep $5. The total ended up being $45 and went the guy are to give my husband his change, he only gave him $35 back. My husband was supposed To get $55 back. My husband said excuse me you still owe me $25. The guy said oh I thought the bill was $60 and my husband said no it was only 45 with a tip. So the guy looked confused and reached in his pocket and threw $10 on the counter at my husband. My husband said you know what just give me my money back I don’t need anything. Don’t throw any money at me. We’ve been coming here for 15 years, and this is the first time we’ve been treated this way. Just because he told my husband he had a bad week, he can’t take it out on customers. Owner please call us as there’s another complaint we’d like you to know about. Being high or drunk at work is...
Read moreAfter a short wait outside on Sunday evening, we were led to our table in the main dining area. It was not busy, there were plenty of open tables, and servers were relaxed and unrushed. After water and bread was placed on the table, the three of us waited for over 20 minutes while servers cruised up and down past our table, until I eventually stopped one of them and asked if we could order.
A thing I find totally annoying in a restaurant is when 2 guests are brought their food, while the 3rd guest sits staring at the table cloth and cutlery.... Her food finally came and it was not what she ordered. Instead of immediately clearing the plate, the server and the manager then proceeded to have a discussion about whether my partner's order was correct. This, of course, while the 3 of were waiting to eat ... (The manager then did offer us a complimentary glass of wine, which we accepted....)
Unfortunately, the final event was the strangest of all.... After we were finished with our entrees, and without even asking whether we wanted dessert or coffee, the manager brought the bill to our table - and then announced to our table what the final charge was and asked how we'd like to pay! I have NEVER been in a restaurant where the server or manager brings over the bill at the end of the meal, and loudly announces to everyone at the table what the final charge is. I was astonished, to say the least.....
I left a tip that clearly indicated my disappointment at the mediocre food, the poor (almost zero) service, and the final bizarre behavior of...
Read moreI visited this Calabasas location recently and i had never been before. Soon as i walk in i notice it was a nice environment quite and clean. I walked up to speak with the cashier who was very kind and very helpful woman. I ordered a Margarita pizza and i took the pizza to go. As i sat and waited i notice alot of employees walking around and walking past me no one gave me a smile or even said hello. I noticed an employee standing right in front of me speaking to a i would presume to be a regular customer he was talking and laughing with the regulars but never once said hello or smilled at me. The only employee that even spoke to me was the cashier who was very helpful. The other employees just walked past me. I was a new face in their restaurant that was their chance to greet a potential repeat customer. To make matters worse as i got my pizza i took it home and i open my pizza and it was not what i ordered. I ordered a Margarita pizza and i was given a plain cheese pizza. I payed full price for a pizza i never received. The margarita cost more than a cheese pizza. Also my receipt clearly said margarita pizza. I was too tired to drive back to the restaurant so i just kept the pizza. I may or may not ever visit this restaurant again. The pizza was delicious despite it not being what i ordered. They also need to greet new customers rather they arare a familiar face or not you greet...
