Read moreDecided to come here for brunch on 12/12/21 with 12 of my friends to celebrate my birthday. Started off great and ended with the worst dining experience ever. Our table was having so much fun experiencing the awesome band Mod Squad. So much fun we made friends with neighboring tables and the band. They were so sweet they even pulled me on stage and sang Happy Birthday. We paid our brunch bill of over $600 plus bought a bottle for $240. Here’s where I find the experience unacceptable. While I was at the bar with some of my friends one of my friend’s was profiled while sitting and enjoying himself at the table. After leaving a yelp review I now noticed that the manager Mario is the owner. Mario profiled my friend with security accusing him of running out on $150 tab during a prior visit with no clear facts. First off, this was his first time at Sagebrush. Secondly, he was also the same person buying the $240 bottle and paying the majority for brunch. Thirdly, never go strictly off of someone’s appearance. The Manager/Owner Mario and security asked my friend to go with them to approach me on the situation at the bar. I am a successful professional that works in the service world and overseas a large territory. I manage over 400 people and understand quite well how loss impacts businesses. I would NEVER walk out and create a loss to someone who is working hard and making a living or a business struggling to survive. That loss affects many including employees and company. To be honest the tab Sunday was probably on the lower end of what we usually run when we dine out. In fact, I pride myself on treating people well and tipping the hard-working waitresses and waiters on the high side for often overlooked service by many others. I am disappointed in the lack of tact, professionalism and fact-finding provided by the Manager/Owner Mario and his waitress. The reason for the approach was solely based on a comment made by a waitress. No cameras were pulled nor was the waitress who made false accusations was present to ask questions. In fact, no questions were asked when I was approached but rather accusations thrown out. This is not how you handle any situation in a professional setting. The Manager/Owner Mario after throwing out accusations realized there was a mistake made and began to apologize. How about never put yourself in a compromising position this extreme between a customer and establishment. I hope Mario learned something out of this and more importantly people stick up for what is right and wrong. This was an extreme embarrassment that I would NEVER want anyone to go through nor should it be overlooked or taken lightly. Please think twice before you visit this establishment. Read moreI’m not sure if it’s because I was with a senior or because he was in a wheelchair, but I eventually went inside and got the drinks. The manager asked my waitress to take our table, and before we ever saw her, she passed us along to another waitress who came to deliver the chips and guacamole, I had ordered from the bar. Eventually another waitress took our order and then we were handed off to yet another waiter. That was not even the problem but thought very odd. The music was so incredibly loud we had to yell the entire time and we are both in the world of music. Perhaps a sound manager would be advantageous. This is a beautiful venue with so much potential. It’s unfortunate. We had to send our food back. It was not even edible. I had requested ground beef enchiladas, and stated that I did not want steak. It was repeated back to me the order I was given steak enchiladas I tasted it. It wasn’t a bad flavor but it was more like steak jerky. They did offer to make something else, but the music was unfortunately making it unbearable to stay any longer. We probably could’ve moved to the back of the restaurant earlier as we got there and they happy hour window, and the restaurant began to fill up dinner time Plus it was on a Friday. The worst part of the whole experience was probably the valet guy telling me to never come back there again Let me be very clear. Miguel was amazing. It was the first want to greet us in the parking lot and showed me to the last handicap spot. One of his workers when I came out was instructed to assist me. I had folded down the wheelchair and asked for help loading it into the truck. This worker said I’m only supposed to be giving you change for your $50 bill. I said so you can’t help me lift this into the trunk mind you I’m about to tip these guys that was why I needed change for the 50 he said no that is not what I’m doing. I’m only giving you change I said OK, thank you kept my 50 and he said don’t ever come back here again. My friend and I left and complete amazement. We spent $88 on for drinks, chips, and guacamole.
