Joe-Lee's Crosswind Cafe — Restaurant in Caledonia Charter Township

I was in town getting my windshield replaced around the corner and decided to come here for breakfast while I waited.

It’s in kind of a weird spot; you have to either walk or drive through a car dealership to get there. But the actual spot is cool because it’s by the airport and you can see planes landing and taking off.

It was a cozy family-type diner. Very small and homey.

I felt really bad for the lady running the place - I guess right before I got there, her waitress had gone home sick, so she was taking AND making the orders. I could tell she was a little overwhelmed, but a lady there with her kids started helping get drinks and such.

Eventually some backup came in and things got straightened out.

But what’s really interesting is that you can opt for a smaller size omelette, which was great, because my two egg omelette was already filling enough. I didn’t even need lunch that day!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing place. The Cafe is a quaint little place right next to the airstrip. With their outdoor seating with the current COVID restrictions it is a great place to watch the planes take off and land while enjoying a great hot meal. The inside has really cool plane themed dining area as well for when it gets really cold out. it is a little cramped inside howeber, so seating might be a little hard to find when they're busy. The food... It was litterally to die for. Biscuits and gravy are always hit and miss when it comes to resturants. The ones here blew us away compared to what we're used to. The meal I had and everyone else with me had was also really good. Tips to the chef. The staff were pretty friendly as well. We had a nice chat with the waitress and she seemed pretty cool. We went in for our annual cousin's breakfast.

They was not a place to sit and she said we could sit outside. It was nice out, but we did not want to sit outside so she said somebody was leaving soon. She got us in within a few minutes.

The atmosphere is really what you're going for. It's all airport and airplane themed not only that you can watch a plane land or take off while you're eating!

The food is yummy! We shared a giant cinnamon roll And we ordered our breakfast.

Three of us ordered something similar and all loved the way, our eggs were cooked, and our bacon or sausage.
