EDIT!!!
FAST FORWARD 5 YEARS 😚😒🙂 PRESENT DAY 2024 JUNE 8TH
I rate it a 3 out of 5. I feel like the small delicate details are missing. Thai cuisine is so intricate and beautiful. Presentation is always eye catching and important and I feel that it lacks this now, from the unproportationately cut ginger to the lack of details in some dishes. The yum woo Sen was good, but not spicy enough for me, the shrimp were cooked to perfection and not overcooked! Loved that! Nam khao was great but also not spicy enough, pork belly wasn't anything spectacular, the pepper dipping sauce wasn't it for me sadly, and the prad krapao was the saddest one. Pad krapao should be crispy, the meat should be seared and crunchy. The dish should be fragrant and might I even say a bit oily. The one I ate here had a lot of broth and was really sweet. It was also missing the iconic fried egg on top.
Old Review
Sooo extremely DELICIOUS! I am very impressed with the quality and proportions of the food. Their khapoon is made the traditional thai way, with fresh healthy ingredients and is very light and savory. Their broth is not the oily red kind but rather very thick with coconut milk and flavorful. Traditionally thai proportions are a bit small, I thought the noodles wouldn't be enough but in the end I could barely even finish my khapoon due to such a delicious broth 😊 I was eating it with my sticky rice non stop hahaa. Their papya salad juice is ON POINT! Just enough padek but not so much that its overwhelming. They filtered their juice PERFECTLY, all the paya salad flavors with less strong SmelI & the same mouth watering taste and spice. I LOVE Loas style papya salad and omg their peppers are soo fresh and spicy. I wanted 6 but the waitress talked me down to 3 & I was literally crying in the end hahaa. The waitress offered to make me a new papya salad with less peppers but to me if it's not spicy its not good 😀 I also got laos sausage and mango and rice dessert all so beautifully presented and made. This place has always had my favorite khapoon, now even with New owners it's STILL my fav place for khapoon. I'm looking forward to more khapoon and to trying their boat 🍜. A little on the pricey side but good food doesn't come cheap. For the quality and feelings evoked every bite I had it was worth the money I spent (: I'm going back later today for khapoon as my lunch btw (: I hope you try it out and its as good as you hope. Service as 10 stars plus, they were all so proffesional and friendly. They take their job seriously and genuinely want you to enjoy the food. It makes going there even the more better (: I can just keep writing hahaa GO...
Read more3.5 would come here again but maybe order different items My taste palette includes food that would generally be described as “saap” by Thai and Lao folks. Tasty food with a big kick of flavor. Though the food here was great, I feel like it is missing some flavor that gives it a kick of authenticity. The Kapoon was alright. The soup itself was thick, and the broth was slightly salty. It’s not well balanced. My accompany ordered Red Curry. To me, the curry lacks coconut milk and reminds me of Indian curry; which I’m not a big fan of. The papaya salad Laos style was bland. At first bite, you can taste the Padek-ness of the dish but it downfalls after. It’s missing something that gives it that umami flavor. The presentation of the papaya itself is sad and you can tell it was made with low effort. The staff was friendly and the food came in a timely manner. The items were well portioned. The...

Bangkok Thai is hands down our favorite Thai restaurant in south Sac. The flavors are authentic, bold, and comforting. Every dish truly hits the spot. The service is always warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
We especially love their soups: Kapoon, Kasoy, and Boat Noodle are absolutely packed with flavor and perfect any day of the week. The beef larb is another favorite. It's amazing that you can customize it to your liking. You can get it spicy, raw or cooked, bitter or not. Their classic dishes like Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle are some of the best I've had in Sac and are reliably delicious every time.
My husband loves coming here when he's craving a good soup fix, and I never say no to joining him. We always leave satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone who loves...
