This seafood stop offers a variety of shellfish and bivalves (we stopped to think how many little lives were lost for our meal by counting the heads!) which you order by the pound. Some prices are market priced some are fixed. The crawfish at the time was $10 a pound, same as the shrimp.
Both were amazing! I got the Asian style sauce for the crawfish and the butter garlic sauce for the shrimp. You can order on a scale up to five, with five being the hottest. Now I know why they had the firemen outfits, to put out the fire in your mouth!
I got level 2, which was perfect. Also ordered the Cajun garlic fries and an order of plain fries to sop up the sauce with. That sauce is to die for. In fact, I asked the waitress to pack it up and we used it on some prawns that we had waiting at home. It was like having Firehouse Crawfish again!
On one wall, you have bench seating and then tables and chairs throughout the restaurant. Paper toppers cover tables, for obvious reasons, and you are given a bib, tons of napkins and a bucket to put all your shells in.
Those crawfish don't yield up tons of meat for all the work you put into them, but I'm glad I tried them. Next time I'm sticking to the shrimp and possibly try out the oysters!
Our waitress couldn't believe it when I said I'd never shelled one of those creatures before. She gave a tutorial and then stayed around to make sure we did it right. Peel off the head (sucking with tongue is optional), peel off part of body, grasp body, twist tail, pull out yucky intestines with tail meat, get tail meat, dip into...

Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She answered my many questions about the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option and promptly took our drink and food orders. She didn't even attempt to ask our daughters age. Her meal consisted of our food and on the house. Our beverages were CONSTANTLY refreshed and we never went with our cups getting to halfway full.
The food was AMAZING. My wife and I enjoyed the prawns in the original sauce level 0 spice, and it was ok. Flavor was solid, without tasting overly salty. The order was really so we could share with our daughter. We also ordered the level 3 spice crawfish in the Blazin Cajun sauce. Bruh. Too clutch. The crawfish were cooked to perfection. The meat didn't stick to the shells and the flavor was infused perfectly to the meat. They made sure to provide PLENTY of lemons which paired amazingly with the spicy/oily Blazin Cajun sauce. The acidity of the lemon made the oily sauce more bearable and the incredible bite provided by the juicy crawfish meat made my night. Rounded out the meal with the fried calamari and fried catfish. Calamari was a bit too chewy, but the seasoning and fry on both appetizers were great. Our daughter loved the sweet potato fries and the garlic noodles kept her options open.
I pho kicks wit it. đđž Thank you Firehouse Crawfish. 10...
Read moreOne of my favorite places for seafood. I've been coming here for years. Service is good, sometimes it can be a bit busy and you may have to ask for things a few times because they forget. It's definitely worth checking out for happy hour. My go to during happy hour are the wings & calamari, both definitely worth trying even when it's not HH. They're margaritas are good too. I love coming here when they have FRESH crawfish. I never order frozen because it's just not as good. I usually call ahead and ask if it's fresh or frozen. If I'm really craving crawfish & they don't have fresh I would call Seafood house Quan oc which is down the street because they have fresh sometimes even when it's not in season. Clams here can be iffy, they taste really fresh and delicious but some times it taste like there's still sand in them. Shrimp is always good. I've ordered the garlic butter Dungeness crab & HIGHLY RECOMMEND it's Soo good. It's expensive but definitely worth it. The 2 flavors I've tried are thick blast & fusion. I order thick blast when I want something heavier & more flavorful and fusion when I want something lighter. Overall definitely worth...
