I haven't been inside this new location yet so I can't speak on the service or cleanliness - but my husband brought me a burrito bowl from here today & it was the worst Chipotle I'd ever had.
My first few bites in I couldnt help but make a nasty face. The chicken was NOT fresh & had been way overcooked to the point of being so burned that it was heavily charred, so it had no flavor, just tasted like char & was tough, not juicy. Gross. The black beans were also either overcooked, or old from yesterday, bcuz they were more like refried black beans, clumpy & stuck together. Gross. I couldn't even finish the bowl it tasted so bad.
There was barely any chicken on it (but since the chicken was cooked so badly this time, it wasn't as much of an issue, but does reflect their lack of appropriate portioning as well). Also there was maybe a teaspoon of corn salsa on it. All in all, it was not worth the price they charge (especially these days).
For a chain restaurant that touts in their advertising how fresh & delicious their food is, this location does not reflect that standard. It should just be shut down, or the managers totally replaced or completely re-trained, or maybe it's the franchise owner of this location who is cheap, lazy, & incompetent...bad product & service is almost always a reflection of bad leadership, as problems usually trickle from the top down, & maybe that's why the employees don't gaf or don't know better.
Either way, we love Chipotle but we won't be going to this location again. We didn't even realize until today that it has almost as many 1 star reviews as 5 stars, & we read a bunch of them which reflect similar issues. that's pretty bad for such a new location that hasn't even been open...
Read moreWARNING!!!!!! I really wish I could give them zero stars. Let me start with saying that we absolutely loved Chipotle’s food. We have five kids, and one of them is super picky, but he could always find something to eat here. However, we had the worst experience at the Granite Bay location. We did the online order and picked up in the drive-through. We spent $$$$$ to feed our family of seven. We got home and as I took the first bite of my bowl, I nearly gagged as I chewed on what I thought was a super fatty piece of meat. When I spit it out, I realized that it was a large piece of 100% RAW CHICKEN!!!! It had been masked by the Asada sauce, so I could not tell that’s what was on my fork. I immediately spit it out and being that the whole family ordered the same chicken, I made sure they stopped eating their food as well. My husband took the piece of RAW meat back to the restaurant, and they said they would replace my bowl, but nobody else’s. They also then refused to give us compensation for our meal, stating that only one dish had the raw meat and the replacement should suffice. First of all, I was definitely not going to eat from that restaurant after this experience, so why in the world would I want a replacement bowl?! And it turns out the next day I got food poisoning. I pray nobody else got sick from the contaminated meat. We’ve contacted customer service on multiple occasions, and they still refuse to refund our money. Such poor customer service, WE WILL NOT BE...
Read moreSo I was really anticipating the opening of this store and was really excited to have a nearby chipotle as it has always been one of my favorite spots. HOWEVER, this has to be the worst chipotle location I have ever experienced. I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and gone on a few different occasions, but everytime it's the same experience. As I am going down the line I have never seen an employee try so hard to scoop the least amount of fillings possible, this last time they literally hand picked the steak off my burrito. It seems they always have a manager on duty, that is doing nothing but hovering over the front of the restaurant micromanaging portion size. When I am paying $18 for a burrito and a drink, I don't want to leave with a taquito and a bad day. Mind you, everytime I've been there the employee morale is horrible, everyone looks angry as if you stepping in the door inconvenienced them, especially the managers you smile at them and they look away. If anyone working at this restaurant reads this I suggest you take a trip to another local chipotle and take notes on their order of business. After reading previous reviews it seems there is a long line of customers with this opinion and horrible experiences, you might want to look at change before your out...
