Writing this review makes me really sad but this was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I'm a teacher ordering for my whole grade level(90 students). I should have known not to order. Some initial indicators I should I have taken my business elsewhere: Difficult for them to pick up phone calls ordering lunch for just me took over 45 minutes owner said she would call me back- never did. Had to contact again. She said she lost my number.
Despite this we have ordered from them as a staff and it was a special treat for our kids on the last week of school. got there and she rang me up at 496. Over the phone it was 345. I was really confused. She said she changed the price of the food recently. I had placed the order a few days before.... The owner said she had to make a call. She asked me what the previous quote was. I had it on my computer. It was definitely not 496. I've never had a restaurant do this before. I left to get sodas and came back. When I ordered over the phone I asked for plates and cutlery. She was arguing with the parent I was with that I never asked for them. I was really not interested in going into an argument and said I could just buy them. She acted like she was doing me a favor by providing them. Then I saw the price. It was 396. I have 90 kids waiting at the park. It was 11am. Lunch is at 11. Again she acted like she was doing me a favor with that price. I am visibly annoyed and she has the audacity to say that I have an attitude. Really? I payed. I told the parent I'm choosing to focus on the kids and not focus on this rude woman. We get in the car. They forgot to give us 20 popusas. She was angry at me! I told her someone would get them and she hung up on me.
It's really sad that a local business acts this way. When I got to the park other parents had similar stories of long wait times and the rude owner. Shame on you. This was for kids, not about your ego. We will never as a school order from them again. That's a lot of business lost, but I don't think this owner cares. I'm using it as a lesson in courtesy for my kids. Because they matter and this owner doesn't get what customer...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for years. The food is good. I’ve found hair in my meal 3 times in the last 2 years, so not so bad...You must allow a minimum of 30min in waiting time, no matter what time of day you order in person or over the phone. I bypassed this on lunch break at work by ordering in advance since I only have an hour. These days I’m lucky if I can get someone to pick up the phone. They are super busy. So much that even with an advance order I am still left waiting 20minutes for an order I placed 40min in advance. It’s good for every now in then when I have time to spare and don’t mind the wait. Most days I go elsewhere.
Lately, these people do not pick up the phone. No matter what day or time you call- it’s impossible to place an order in advance over the phone, they don’t use any platforms for ordering pickup or delivery, and it’s always a long wait in person. Not worth it anymore. I know get my pupusas from...
Read moreI give them a five because Salvadorian food is it's own flavors. You know what I mean, they have the flavors. But also, they make their papusas fresh to order. I know this because I can't eat dairy so I asked him what kind they have... He must get asked that a lot because he had a long pointer stick by the wall and whipped it out and started pointing to the menu above the register on the wall 😄 basically you can order any combination of ingredients. So I got a bean and zucchini one. It was so good. It comes with a sauce that tastes kind of like the juice we make Mexican rice with, but I loved it. And also the slaw they give to put on it. I'd def eat that same thing again. I also got a rice and bean burrito. I like getting simple things places because I feel like if they can do simple dishes flavorfully, then they know their stuff. And the burrito was good. I'll go there...
