This place is a great small town Cafe located in the town of Crestline in the mountains up State Highway 18. The service is great and food has very fair portions. I have enjoyed many great breakfasts at the Cafe. I have not had lunch or dinner options but have been told those a very good as well. If you are corned beef hash fan, the Cafe makes a couple corned beef hash plates that are amazing, Mountain Benedict (my favorite pictured below) and Country Benedict. I have also had the garden scramble and make your own omelet with bacon, sour cream and quacamole (pictured below), delicious. If you like steak and eggs, give theirs a try you won't be disappointed. I'll be eating here again soon and will post more pics. If you are up for a drive to the mountains for some breakfast, I highly recommend Crestline Cafe. Enjoy

Loved the place. Great atmosphere and while the service and most of the staff i spotted seemed to be working hard, all the millennials working there need to concentrate more on paying attention to the lob than talking so much and forgetting what they were doing. I watched it happen a half dozen times. As to the meal?! My chicken fried stake was great, and the biskets and gravy were great 👍. As to the price. They are just as outpriced nowadays as everyone else. $25 for my meal and coffee. Not good. The food was great. If you can afford it, it's a nice place, but be prepared to spend at least $100 for an average family of 4. Sincerely, the not so rich , not so stuck up , Amateur motorcycle food critic.

Wonderful! Had breakfast here today (Thursday). We were greeted and seated promptly. The two servers were very kind and attentive - excellent waitstaff! I ordered the Big Texas Breakfast Burger with country potatoes and it arrived quickly. My meal was very tasty, and was presented well (from it's menu description, I expected a messy dish). I tried a bite of my partner's chorizo and eggs and it was also delicious. Green and red Tabasco were on the table, and when I asked about additional hot sauce options, I was brought Cholula and a DELICIOUS house sauce made with Trinidad Scorpion peppers. It was a great experience, and every interaction with the servers left a smile on my face. Definitely recommend!

Horrible service! The waitresses that were there that day were so unprofessional, rude, and kept ignoring us. When we got there it was not a busy time. There was about 3 tables with customers each with 2 to 3 people who were already eating and 3 waitresses and it seemed like a kind of slow time. First of, our drink order was taken after they took 3 other tables that got there AFTER us and ONLY after I had to get up to let one of the waitress that was at the cash register, since she was the one that wasn’t doing anything, know we were there before and have not yet been helped. She told me my waitress knows and sees me there and she will GET to me. I’m not in the restaurant business but I’m sure it has always been the routine to serve customers as they come and not when the waitress decides she wants to serve them or go around the whole restaurant serving others before “she gets to you”.When that register waitress saw she was NOT “getting to me” she proceeds to take our drink order. At that time we have been waiting for 30 mins WITHOUT any drinks yet. When she came with our drinks she placed them with somewhat an attitude, it was not friendly and she rudely threw the straws on the table in front of my mom. Then 15 mins later, the waitress that was supposed to have taken our order 45 mins ago finally decided to come to our table. She took our order after taken 5 tables orders first than ours when we had gotten there before any of those parties! By the time that we were ordering everybody had their food on their tables. And to top it off this waitress was also unfriendly, had a aggressive tone and just seemed like she did not want to take our order. It was only my mom and I there to dine in so it wasn’t like our order was going to be a big order to take and make. So for them to go on to the bigger parties of 4 to 6 people at a table and just keep passing us by after I would look at them and make eye contact to get them to realize “hello we still have not been helped”, it makes me think if they just personally did not like us for whatever reason I do not know because we have never met before that day. After our order was finally taken now came another wait of about 20mins which at that point I just didn’t want to stay there and wait any longer so we got up and walked to the register. The register waitress was coming out with our food but after the whole unpleasant experience of being there for OVER an hour and a half and not yet EATEN we just wanted to leave. So i signaled to her to the register she came over I said I will just pay for the drinks. She asks “why ?” I let her know we been there too long without being helped. She says “well your food is already out so we can packet it for you”, I told her, as if she didn’t already know the issue, that we were ignored multiple times, a lot of people that KEPT coming in after us were getting helped before us and we were served till the very last. I told her we were not satisfied with the service and she had the audacity to say the reason for that was because my mother had gone to the restroom when we first came in. My mom was in the restroom for about 5 minutes then she came and sat down. I let her know that was no excuse to have us wait for soo long and continue to wait on other parties that came in after us. She did give attitude and said “fine” and reached out to get my card to pay for the drinks. I told her I liked to know the amount first so she went into the back and came back to say “ actually you can just go” with attitude. It was already apparent they did not want our presence there and did not care at all to serve us. My mom is Mexican and I am American/ Mexican we were the only 2 people that looked that race that day. I’ll let the public have their take on that. Overall it was a very unpleasant, disappointing, unwelcoming, disrespectful, inhospitable dining experience at the Crestline Cafe if I can give it ZERO stars, just because of the staff, I would and it’s safe to say we will never dine...

I really do enjoy Crestline Cafe. Usually eat here once every two weeks for dinner. Food is really good and portion sizes are decent.

I was a little disappointed on the evening of 10/10/23.

The food was great the cooks seemed busy and moving quickly.

However customer service was subpar-- Dede (I believe her name was) and another young lady were working. They were very unattractive to all customers to the point while the servers were behind the bar arguing with each other a customer had to yell out the question, "could I get some water". From their table

Their Internet was not working and they could not accept CC. They did have a note on the door however if not paying attention one could have missed it. Not sure when the put it up either. There were customers at their table when the young waitress approached their table and let them know. The gentleman went quickly to the ATM next door. Dede then proceeded to bash the customer about not reading the sign and if the customer couldn't read that was their fault.

I get having moments where servers get frustrated however these two servers should learn the lesson of talking behind closed doora, where customers can't hear them etc.

Not only were they super inattentive, we got to hear about a customer who had puked all over the bathroom and some sort of crazy mishap with some wine. The younger one told Dede she should seek counseling ect. However loved the younger one till she started being a snot. How if she wasn't careful she would end up like Dede.

I was sitting on the back of the restaurant near the windows they were at the bar with the TV on and you could still hear all their $#!+ talking.

I was very disappointed with these two ladies. There was a lot to be done instead of hanging out and talking $#!+ about customers and talking $#!+ to each other.

How about clean the floor there was paper, leaves etc all over the floor. I wiped down our table as it was not done properly but they had set out silverware. How about paying attention to...

I called in a to go order today. I was told to pick up in 30 mins. A little longer than I'd hoped but wasn't that put out. Got to the restaurant in 35 minutes and was not greeted at all.

There was an vendor of some sort at the cash register talking with the waitress on duty. They talked about the delivery. They talked about the restaurants need for whatever product the guy was dropping off. They laughed about some misfortune of not having said product. The waitress discussed payment and how she made sure there was cash available for said vendor. They discussed the next delivery options. They exchanged personal pleasantries. They said an extended good bye and laughed some more about some what personal topics.

After what seemed like a life time because i was never greeted at all, waitress turns to me and says....."THAT'LL BE $29.12!". She must of noticed my surprise because she then said. "You ARE here for pick up right?" I said yes and in my shock I hand her my credit card instead of swiping it myself. As she rudely swipes it for me, she tells me to sign the screen and walks away. Just momentarily, she comes back with my food all bundled up, sets it on the counter and says it's all there and walks away.

I felt so unwelcomed and encouraged To NEVER COME BACK! THANKS AMBER! I still tipped 15% on my to go order. I just hope the cook got at least part of that. Because the service was ridiculously rude and actually nonexistent but...

The food was EXCELLENT! I ordered chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy on the side. The steak was perfect with yummy crunchy edges smothered in hot and delicious gravy. The eggs and potatoes were exactly how I orderd them and under $30.00 for two huge perfect breakfast plates is...
