El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in California

I went here for lunch yesterday. The food is typically good here. Not yesterday. When I drove back to work and sat down at my cube to eat, I cracked open 1 of 3 of my Avocado salsas. Poured it on my burrito and started to eat. About the third time around to go to pour my salsa, I saw strange large chunks of something. I removed it and placed it on a napkin to pat it dry and figure out what it was. Not much grosses me out, and initially I thought it was Cartlidge or chicken fat or something. Nah- It had a gelatin like consistency and after letting it set out on my desk for a while it still remained moist. I'm pretty sure this is silica gel. "Not a big deal" I thought to myself, it's not going to kill you. So, I inspected the next two salsa which seemed fine. Trying to stay on the optimistic side of things I was like "Stuff happens sometimes". And then I realized. The odds of getting that much of ANY foreign object (which would stand out as they spooned the thin consistency salsa) into a small cup and have it not be noticed were astronomical. I'm assuming this was intentional. Could it have possibly been the uniform I was wearing? Not sure. What I do know is that I will not be returning to this pollo loco. They've let me down before and I always give them a second chance. This was a fools errand on my part. I'm not sure why but google won't let me upload the image of the salsa with the silica gel in it. Infact, I kept it at work in case the owner might want to see it. This was a waste of $30.00, as after that I couldn't eat my meal. I had to be fair and give the service 4 stars because I was in and out of there really quick and the young lady working the window...

This location has gone down hill big time! .This used to be my go to since it is one of the healthy places to get fast food meal & the prices are really good as well . I am not sure what is going on but the customer service, to the food is BAD! Its like they do not care what they are serving to the public nor do they have people skills. I called and filed a complaint with 800 line . If anyone else has the time ( while on break or lunch) cause I do work like the next person . I say give them a call because I can see from the previous reviews We all have the same issue . Here is my experiences They forget to put your entire order in the bag, they always run out of something . If you order a salad they have no dressing to go with your salad . They are out of most popular fountain drinks , they do not provide a receipt , and they will close early due to being short staff and the staff lack professionalism and people skills . All of this is unacceptable. I have been going to this location for over 2 years but recently stopped going . I believe they are under new management is the reason to why the service and food has gone downhill !! I had to give a star for my review to post. This is the only reason any stars...

It was a terrible excuse experience will never go back to this location. We were in line at the window for almost 40 minutes and people we're honking behind us. Three different people asked us if we order tacos which was not the order it was a family meal. Finally found out that they ran out of chicken and had us move to the front of the store. Finally received the order and it was incorrect. Had to go back twice until I was the wrong order. I asked the clerk what was going on and she said that they go through employees like crazy people get frustrated and leave. Obviously there's a problem with management there there's no reason for them to be running out of chicken at a chicken joint when I say running out of chicken I mean cooked chicken. Saw probably four or five people go straight through drive-thru they were so frustrated cuz the line was so long. This place should be shut down and revamped with all new employees especially management I don't know if it's a franchise but if it's a franchise you need to get a new owner. I will never never go back to this location so poorly run and it sounds like this happens...
