Grocery Outlet — Local services in Rancho Cordova

No prob, I'll be the outlier, but an honest one at that. If I could give Grocey Outlet "NO STARS" that would please me! They have limted produce selection, and quality but that was over looked...until my interaction with Dave, the owner operator the 3rd time coming to the store. The other two visits to Grocery Outlet was pleasant by not being serviced by the owner, which speaks VOLUMES! If the owner sets the precedent and culture of the store, its only a matter of time before things go down heel. I waited in line to be rung up my Dave, eventhough the receipt said his name was "Micheal." I had 4 ideas in the cart but he decided to grab the wine and just look at me assuming I should no what he wants, suppose he wantes to check my ID, I'm guess, which I assumed correctly and gave it to him, because I'm 35 years old with nothing to hide. There was no, hello, did you find everything, how is your day? Nothing! Straight to the wine. Therefore, I asked him to run my credit card for $8 and I have $8 in cash that would cover the total of $15.33. Instead. He ran the credit card for $9 and then $10 (which I confirmed with Capital One) and then basically told me the card was declined both times and to fine other means.....Since he lacks active listening with a side of commonsense. I confirmed I said $8 and he said, yep it declined. I paid with my debit card and left. This store has low inventory, fairly high prices, and tacky service. Food Co or Walmart would provide better quality of food and service, believe it or not. I shop at Sprouts and Winco religiously but Grocery Outlet was a convenient shop to me.

P.S. I called the store asked to speak with the superior above the owner operator who rung me up at the register. The guy that got on the phone assured me it was not Dave and he'd be willing to help. However, after telling my full story he had nothing but a excuses and hypotheticals, then proceeds to tell me that in fact, he is Dave the owner operator....what kind of foolery and games is going on at the store????? Go...

Martin! Thank you so much for your kindness! You were amazing at helping find everything I needed and finding the areas where things would be if you DID have them. The manager helped me get through the store quickly at 10pm, I explained I was from out of town and was in a rush and didn't know the store. He treated me with the utmost professionalism and kindness! Igor the produce I needed in good shape and decent affordable prices! The one star removed, is because they didn't have a few ingredients I needed and I had to run across the street to another store to find some things. Plantains, consent milk,...

Checkout clerk was BLEEDING from a large wound on his finger checking people out, touching and bleeding on groceries. I stopped him and demanded he do something. First he tried to hide it. It was bleeding so badly that was impossible. Manager was called and ignored the ask for a bandage. Guy just kept checking out groceries. I was furious and demanded he not touch anything I was buying with that hand. Had I known, I would have traveled to another store that doesn't have clerk with filthy hands, bleeding all over the place....
