A Mixed Experience at a Local Pizza Gem
I've been a frequent patron of this local pizza spot, renowned for arguably the best-tasting pizza in the area. The secret to their delectable pies? Fresh ingredients. It's not just a marketing gimmick; you can genuinely taste the difference in every bite. Health-conscious foodies would appreciate their thinner crust, which is a healthier alternative without compromising on taste.
When it comes to flavors, the Whitestone and Vegetarian pizzas are must-tries. The Whitestone's creamy texture and perfect blend of cheeses is a dream for cheese lovers, while the Vegetarian is a colorful medley of fresh veggies that burst with flavor.
However, there's a downside. This culinary excellence comes at a price, quite literally. The pizzas are on the expensive side, which might deter frequent visits.
My experiences with takeout have been less than stellar. The store's ambiance, or lack thereof, was quite off-putting. Imagine walking into a completely dark pizzeria with no lights on - it's not exactly welcoming. The service, sadly, mirrored this gloomy atmosphere. There were no greetings, and the staff, though seemingly busy, gave off an air of indifference. It felt as though customers were taken for granted, which is disheartening for a place that offers such exceptional food.
In conclusion, while the pizza itself is a culinary masterpiece, the lackluster service and high prices make it a challenging place to wholeheartedly recommend. It's a classic case of great product,...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePizza is as blah as it gets. Also, you guys gotta stop calling every thin crust pizza "NY style". This is not NY style. Something about the crust just stocks to your teeth, and not in a good way. Also lady behind the character is a walking stereotype. Treated me like an idiot, super nice to my husband though. Drove 17 minutes to get there. 17 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. Says veteran owned, hence why we went, but you can't win them all. EDIT: Jason (?) gets back to me a year later with his sassy comment to claim that a) I didn't have the experience I reported having and b) I must not have heated up my pizza slices and that was the cause of all of my problems? Yes, I took the pictures in the car after I got the pizza. But I did make it a point of taking them home and heating them up because gross? And yes, it did stick to my teeth. Also, what does it matter if I got my slices through TooGoodToGo? It's still your product correct? I should still expect the same quality that I would if I was having a sit-down experience in your restaurant. Let's face it. Your food at the time wasn't that good. And I haven't been back since. But you probably chose to respond to my comment because you figured, after a year, I wouldn't comment back. Also kudos on not mentioning a thing about the horrible customer service. I can forgive most places a lot of sins if the person behind the counter treats me like a decent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was my go to pizza place in town but never again. Guy on the phone treated me like garbage because I asked to change my order for 1 pizza to pickup just after ordering. At first he said it was better for them if I pick it up, but he didnāt say anything about reimbursing my tip. When I asked about it he seemed irritated I wanted it back. He said, let me ask the manager. Comes back on the phone and says it will be ready in 10. I said, again⦠what about the tip? He said we will probably give you cash. When I arrived, again he said nothing about the reimbursement, no cash exchanged, and I already felt uncomfortable from the interaction on the phone. So, I just wanted to get out. Arrived home and the pizza is burned. Crust is hard as a rock. Payed $27 for a burned pizza.
While I appreciate trying to make it right, I donāt appreciate denying my lived experience. Iāve ordered many pizzas here before, and Iāve never had one with crust so hard. This was not the norm. I also was not worried about whether or not my money was returned when I left the shop. I was disappointed by the lack of communication regarding reimbursement. I never received a solid answer regarding how I was getting my money back. The stress was not worth an almost 30 dollar...
