I went on Feb 12th with a friend. She had heard from someone else that it was a good spot. I was open to going to try it because I saw reviews and saw some pictures of the dishes. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the food, not the service or the vibe. I do believe in honest reviews, so here it goes. I ordered Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. I had asked for it with light sauce and light cheese. I still felt it had a lot of cheese when I took the bite. I ordered a Strawberry Charcoal Limeade, which was so thick and intense for my liking. It had a ton of puree. I asked the young man for an additional cup to see if I could pour some of it out, but it didn't help much. He didn't offer me a different drink or to fix it. Then I had to buy me a coke since I saw two other customers drinking the coke bottles. I offered to buy one for my friend and I told the cashier the drink was not good at all. She didn't offer me a discount nor a swap. Initially, I had told her that it was my first time there, but she wasn't helpful about the menu or the drink after I brought it to their attention that it was so thick and sugary. At the time I went there was a lot young people there and the music was a bit too loud. I had to ask the young lady to clean the table. I hope they try to listen a bit better to the order the customer asks and also when a customer let's them know they are displeased with a drink. Will I go again? Probably not, but I want to make sure the workers or owner read about...
Read moreWhen it first opened it was amazing. All the buzz!!! I'm from Seattle so my expectations for coffee are quite high. I loved their options of food, simple but yet refined.. they had great and fun options for the kids as well! I began working out of there often and slowly I felt the environment shift within the month of me frequenting the shoppe. It went from business and customer centric to very clique - like. Ignorning paying customers to help or chat with "friends." I didnt know that there was a church down the way and that there were many employees were members. I quickly found that out. If done correctly it could have been a good honest way for them to gain members but instead, I left there everytime feeling inferior to their group of people. If I didnt know what to order or had questions, the baristas would be blatantly irritated because there were church members behind me and they wanted to be able to visit with them. There was always flirting happening behind the bar and it was off putting. I would not base an entire review on one employee or one interaction - being a business owner myself... but sadly, the constant feeling of employees not wanting my business has pushed me to stop going. I STILL gave 3 stars because the food quality, coffee, and the coffee shop setup was great! If they had a drive thru, I'd still be going. Maybe take your order to go... then you dont have to walk out feeling like an inferior outsider........ I love...
Read moreThis place is cute and I really really wanted to like it. The people who work there were very kind and attentive even with a huge rush of people. HOWEVER. The food was absolutely inedible. It was so so bad. I got a scrambled egg dish that supposedly came with onions, tomatoes, and spinach. When it came out, the eggs were dry and cold, as if they came out of a package and were briefly microwaved. Additionally, the tomatoes and onions were raw and cold and not mixed in at all. No spinach to be found, although I suppose it doesn't matter because it would have been uncooked and bland as well. My partner ordered the Italian avocado toast, and it came out cold and flavorless as well, with minimal avocado and a COLD fried egg placed on top. I seriously doubt these eggs are being cooked fresh.
My theory is that they are offering a full-kitchen menu while they only have a tiny food bar next to the coffee bar that clearly does not have the resources to make full meals. If I were them, I would stick to pastries.
The coffee: I was initially impressed by their claims of "specialty" coffee, but I tried their drip, and it tasted like every other over-roasted slightly burnt drip coffee I've had. Nothing special.
Overall, the place has potential, and I really hope they will do better...
