La Imperial Taqueria — Restaurant in California

Had a great experience at la imperial taqueria with my family ! I had the tripa tacos , nice crispy & oh so delicious on their homemade tortillas . The homemade tortillas are $1 extra per taco but it’s more than worth it! My little brothers know good carne asada & they loved theirs! Tender & juicy! Plus we split their carne asada fries , BOMB! Also they actually make their horchata here , I love that they didn’t cheap out on it by getting the fountain version , so tired of that at other taco shops. Gotta try their yummy horchata. The only reason 4 stars is because it was a bit of a wait, it’s not the type of place where u can be in & out, expect a little bit of a wait but also keep in mind everything is coming out fresh & made in house, they don’t cheap out here! Great food. Great service. Used the app clover to order my food. The food is organized fairly well and can easily be given to he people that ordered certain items. Went twice in a row to try out the different items on the menu. These are of course my opinions but may differ to yours....great tasting food but the meats that I felt stood out were...Al pastor, Chile Verde, Cabeza, Carnitas, Barbacoa de res. The meats that were lacking but still good, were....Asada, Birria de chivo, Pollo, but with their salsas these end up tasting good.

Their burritos are a good size, the tacos with tortillas hechas a mano (excellent), tacos with regular tortillas are good, torta is excellent, sopes are good as well.

Overall good experience and will definitely come...

Really bad service. The cashier seem like she didn't want to help when I asked to switch my jaritos to a horchata water, she stated I'm going to have to charge you the difference. That's fine I ordered two birria tacos and cozume , The other girl did not know how to pack the food. She put a cup into a bag. Tied it super tight that the steam made the cup burst and everything spilled onto the bag. When I went back to let them know that everything spilled out of the cup, you could tell the cashier was irritated, No one forces you to do something that you don't like to do so if you don't like your job, quit find something where you're not going to deal with people.
