It's okay. I mainly go here fort ice cream and ice cream only thigh they do serve food. I never really looked at their menu carefully enough for the food section, but I think they serve more like sandwiches, burgers, etc. which to me, it's more like snacks because I eat so much. I do like their ice creams. However, today, when I visited them, I was a bit disappointed with their Wi-Fi service. I asked for the Wi-Fi password, it didn't work. I appreciated how the waiter checked on me to see if I could logon to the Wi-Fi okay. I told him that it wasn't logging me on. I also appreciate how he bothered to Finns out of the Wi-Fi password had changed. He told me that they did change the password, but he didn't know the password. Later, a lady passed by to see if everything was okay. I told her that everything was okay and asked if she knew the Wi-Fi password. She gave me the same password the waiter did, which didn't work. I told her the password wasn't working. Then, she said she didn't know either. If you change the password, why would you not let your employees know whee there are places that literally post their Wi-Fi password in the shop, on the tables, on the menu, etc.? I thought it was weird....
Exactly a week later, I visited this place again. And I realized that their Wi-Fi was not even searchable. So, you made it bad that you just changed the password and no employees knew about to worse that you decided to do away with it. I guess that was a quick fix!
Amazing how the owner can turn a review in to a personal attack. I always wonder why people would be in a field where they have to serve the public if they can't take criticism. It's the 21st century, WiFi and internet is part of our lives. Learn your phone more, these days, phones can do much more than you think. Do some international traveling, see and learn where the rest of the world is at in terms of technology. Get on board with the 21st century. Amazed by what the owner can post publicly. This is a complete turn off. I don't ever go to places with poor customer service. But when the owner has an attitude? Yea, not for me because I do care where my money goes and who it goes to. I'm still lost at the response the owner...
Read moreLeatherby's Family Creamery is a Sacramento area staple and the place to do during HOT weather. The name itself says it all but does not do it justice with the wide array of dishes from Vegan to everything else aside from different Ice Cream flavors and the different various concoctions that are all massive. Might cost a pretty penny on the price points but the amount of food you get is worth it.
As for the staff in the Elk Grove location is the same in the Citrus Heighs location which is that they all are kind, courteous, knowledgable, Friendly and will get a customer what they need for total customer satisfaction. What is most likely the Culture of Leatherby's employees and manage says it all. Always enjoy everything about Leatherby's in Citrus Heights around my area and the experiences is no different at the Elk Grove location.
My food selection was on the lite side of an appetite which was the Hot Dog with a side of Pickles and Onions. It came with a side of the most glorious French Fries I have ever seen. The Bun was lightly golden toasted from a coat of Butter. Next was that All Beef Frank butterflied and Grilled to ensure proper flavors are grilled into it. I asked for a side of the condiments. They are willing to provide with any condiments that they have, from Avacodo to Tomato and anything that is a condiment in between.
They have a "Wall of Fame" called the Big Daddy Dave" Sundae, which is a Massive beast to take down and make the wall. I give this place an Official 5 Stars rating because not only of the awesome culture and experience that the Employees bring, the proper food and desserts available, but also because all of there locations that I have visited Honor the United States Military of past and present with a discount on the bill.
They are awesome and if you are an out of towner crusing through the Sacramento area, it is a must to visit, for memories to take where...
Read moreHave been visiting this place for 17yrs and that last few years have been going to the one on Arden! Which is excellent! Last night we visited the one in Elk Grove for my daughters 10th Birthday . There was a fundraiser going on and I understand the wait and being busy. I stood in line for my family. Once seated I asked for a booth since 2 were available and was told the wait would be longer if we sat there fine. My daughter order tea and the whole cup was filled with ice from top to bottom common sense tells you the sugar we need to add is going to be impossible to melt and where is the tea?? Lol so another waiter brought another cup of just tea.. great! I order the Cali burger the smallest sliver of avocado!! When the picture had slices, we also had a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. Another waiter brought our food looked great ! Fries warm, burgers cold and tenders warm. We ate half because we were starved!!! Our waiter helped everyone around us. I sat there waiting and watching with my elbows on the table as he walked pass numerous times helping others thinking wouldnt you atleast stop if you know you didnt bring our food and you seen someone else correct the tea mistake? But guess not! Finally I stopped him and said excuse me can we get ice cream to go. He asked how everything was I told him it was cold. He said sorry. End of story! Wont be back to this location! Never had this happen on Arden! Busy or not you should serve quality food and if you are in the area you should attend the surrounding tables especially if you see the table has completely stopped eating for more...
