To my followers, please bear with me and read the entire review. I've been going to McDonald's for over 60 years. And i've seen the changes sometimes very subtle and sometimes a little out of control. I went into a McDonald's today and ordered a filet-o- fish meal, which consisted of a large drink, a medium fry, and the fish sandwich. Now I don't know if you've all noticed that the fish filet sandwiched at McDonald's has reduced in size, but It used to be about three inch by three inch patty of compressed fish that tasted pretty good.. For several years now, they've been cutting back on it by size and even only using half of a slice of cheese. now the fish itself is down to about two inches by almost three inches. You can see the difference in the size of bun as well. it's almost like a biscuit! What got me was the French fries. New packaging (small bag) and the excuse given by the management was that los angeles county ordinance required them to no longer use the fold out box sleeve for packaging of the french fries.. I read the ordinance, dated May 1, 2023, and it does not require them to use this little tiny bag.. The ordinance only requires them to use something that is bio degradable like paper and not Styrofoam, which they were already using.. Therefore, the new packaging is just another ploy by mcdonald's to reduce the output of food and continue to charge higher prices for less product.. Sorry to say mcdonald's but you've lost a customer after over sixty years. I hope my readers will pass this information on to everyone. They know and just stop going there. I do wish they cared and would focus on loyalty and food value over profits. years ago, they provided a good meal at a good value. You may be younger than I am when you read this, but you shouldn't settle. There are plenty of other restaurants to...
Read moreThe manager Ashley is the worst. She has no customer service skills, they need to have her retrained. I placed an app order of almost $40, we went thru the drive thru to pick up our order. They handed us our Happy meals (5) and I had a funny feeling and asked my girls to check the orders. Sure enough they did not give us the McDonald’s toy for each Happy Meal. We asked the worker and she said they were out of that promotion, I told her why did the app let us choose that option then. She just said that they were out and closed the window. I called the location and asked to speak with the manager (Ashley), I asked her why did the app let us choose the toy option, she said that she was not in control of the app. I thought that was fair, but why didn’t the drive thru worker not inform us that they were out before they gave us our food. At that point I would have canceled the order and gone to another McDonald’s. The manager with no customer service skills gave me every excuse in the book except the only one that should have been given (I’m sorry, our mistake). I then asked her for the drive thru employee’s first name and she would not give it to me. I will notify Corporate. We as consumers have the power where to spend our money, I don’t think this manager is aware of this. My family and I will be taking our...
Read moreThis place has got to be one of the worse places to get fast food. We tried to order food through their app and have someone else pick up the food, just like you can do at any other restaurant that takes phone orders or online orders.
Well, this has been an epic fail.
Aside from. The app issues, I first got annoyed when I pulled into the curbside pickup stall expecting one of them to check on me after a couple of minutes. Well, someone did come to bring the food to the car next to mine and then she quickly ran back in, even as I was trying to call out for her... big no no here.
After a few more minutes, I pulled into their long drive thru line to give them the order number..
After a bunch of, "ums" and "uhh", the manager finally informed me that I cannot pick up the food without the app.
So ten minutes later, I'm back with the app and then they told me they do not have the breakfast item that I already paid for. They weren't really apologetic, it was more straightforward informative.
I'm hugely disappointed and I would not recommend...
