Last Monday 8/25 between 1:45-2:10pm myself, a coworker, and an individual that we serve (whom is on the Autism Spectrum) came to Peetās to enjoy some treats. Our friend enjoys people watching, particularly at cafĆ©s, and the vibe started off great! He got a chocolate chip cookie. It wasnāt too busy, so he easily found himself a personal table where he had kicked back, placed his feet on the chair across from himself, and made himself comfortable. My coworker and I sat at the table next to him.
Michael, (an employee at Peetās) had just started his shift. After ringing up a customer, Michael deliberately walked over, placed his hands on the chair, and physically pulled the chair out from under our friendās feet. He didnāt even wait for an answer, or give him an opportunity to move his feet himself.
What is the problem with a calm individual, relaxing at a coffee shop, with his feet politely kicked up on a chair, enjoying a cookie? Imagine the sensory nightmare it is (especially for a human on the spectrum) to have someone come up to you, and rip a chair out from under your legs for no good reason. He was not disturbing anyone, he is well groomed, and was just enjoying his time at a coffee shop like anyone else. We have gone to dozens of coffee shops of the years, (all visits going the same way, cozy, kicked back, and vibing). Weāve have always been met with kindness, and felt welcomed.
The disrespect was not cool, and as regular coffee shop browsers, we will NOT be returning to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were a little sad to see the Seattleās best gone from our go to shopping center. However very happy we caught the recent opening of the Peetās here!!! I love Peetās. I would always go to one whenever I gi grocery shopping at our Raleyās. I love their iced coffees especially. The staff at this location were very nice and quick. They even gave me extra coffee at no cost when they accidentally made more than intended in their French press. They also gave me more than a pound of their freshly ground coffee the same morning. Great value, even better coffee. I hope they remain there for a while since we donāt get to visit aptos very often but when we do, we always cherish our morning coffees before heading...

They're open nice and early and also have a friendly and competent staff as well. Highly recommend šš
Edit As of 12/15/21 they unfortunately no longer have their amazing chorizo! Pretty sure that decision is and was made at a corporate level, so I don't hold it against that particular location or anything. Still though, it does kinda suck, as it was truly some of the absolute best chorizo I've ever had (and I lived in...
