My go to place for the awesome vegetarian platter, the lentil soup is delicious and the coffee is real coffee...not that starbucks nonsense. Nice relaxed atmosphere too. I always forget to post pics so here is a pic of that awesome baklava that you should buy if you love the flavor of honey. Also their little store to buy stuff near the front counter is great too. This place is right on the corner easy to see and lots of parking although pulling out onto arden can be a bit challenging depending on the time of day.

Vegetarian food here is awesome!!!!! We stopped by on the way back to SF from Reno. Lovely portions and a super vegetarian selection. Complementary baklava and even if you don't eat much you can't help but gape at the snacks and savouries at the front end of the store. Try the crispy falafel and the healthy salad and soup! 5 STARS all the way.

I remember visiting this place for takeout 3 years ago and remember having a bad experience with one of the waitresses who was racist towards me and really cold and curt to me for no reason, I'm always friendly but I remember getting that judgemental look from and I do remember she couldn't speak much for English but I remember from her vibe and cold welcome and she made me feel very unwelcome. The owner who I ended up paying at the cash register was a lot more friendly and understanding. I remember the food being mediocre snd not great. It wasn't bad tasting, but nothing amazing and it felt like something you could just make at home and whip up. It was really expensive too from what I remember and the 2 pita sandwiches I got were pretty small, plain and way over priced. After dealing with the racist waitress and going home upset and distraught, I called the owner who I had dealt with inside the restaurant when I was paying and he was very nice and sympathetic when I explained what had happened with me and his racist waitress who I hope doesn't work there anymore. That was 3 years ago and I remember she did look pretty young herself maybe a little younger than me or maybe my age. I'm 25, and was 22 when I visited this restaurant 3 years ago. I remember no one was in there as well as it was completely empty. Anyways so the owner was accommodating and listened to me and made me feel better after my chat with him complaining to him about his racist waitress. I'm a dark brown skinned Vietnamese woman and have dealt with a lot of racism from middle eastern, Indian, and Afghanistan people at the those cultural restaurants. I'm not saying everyone from those cultures are racist, but a lot of them are unfortunately racist towards brown skin Asians like me. The owner apologized and said he would discuss the serious racism issue with his waitress and he hoped that I felt better after talking with him. The owner was a nice older man from I remember. Sadly though I wouldn't recommend this place to others due to the racist waitresses and the mediocre food. There's better places out there to eat I'm sure that's bigger portion, better tasting, better priced, and accepting of everyone in the customer service area! That's what's most important! I haven't found a great Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant yet, but one day I hope to find one! I'd say just skip this place and keep...

Staff was great, food was tasty, tried a nice crunchy version of falafel (very nice), price was reasonable.

Came back after about 4 weeks. Even better than I remembered. The Veggie Feast was awesome. Nice vegetarian options.

Vegan Choice, best falafel sandwich ever!

Great falafel !

Came back after 3 weeks. Must be a different cook. Rice was day old and chewy, and the Jerusalem salad was floating in Tahini sauce. The falafel was typical.

About 4 weeks since my last visit. I made an order, but they didn't have the eggplant entre I wanted available. But they had $3 eggplant vegetable pies to go. My luck, they were very nice. Seems like whenever something I intend to do doesn't work out, if I pay attention, something nice is available to explore. If you're looking for an inexpensive meal, pick up one of these veggie pies; like a piroshki, but the crust has more texture and flavor.

The $3 pies are served with $5 soup or salad when seated. Pies not available by themselves when...

I have been coming to Pita Kitchen since they opened. They have amazing food, good prices, a quiet location, quick service, and the nicest owner. I use to work a couple doors down and I came over for lunch frequently. He began to recognize my face and was always kind when we spoke. I don't come as often now due to location, but when I do, I always leave with a full belly and a full heart ❤️

My go-to is Chicken Schwarma Sandwich (extra garlic sauce) with a side of Baba Ganoush & warm pita. However, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.... hummus, sandwiches, platters, falafel, dessert. After having it today, being so immensely happy after finishing it, and then finding 2 baklava packaged in the bottom of my bag, I just had to leave a 5-star review for one of my Sacramento favorites. Thank you for being so wonderful...
