Squirt some soy sauce on some food and call it Chinese. Probably some of the worst "Chinese food" I've had in a while. Nothing freaks me out more than getting piping hot food served in a half melted, flimsy, plastic container. That can't be good for your health. The fact that people still do this blows my mind. I actually did dine in specifically to try and avoid this. The food itself was also not good. Lots of filler ingredients like tons of onions and little meat. Meat was also not that good a quality and high in fat. The pork fried rice should just be called rice. I hardly noticed any pork. I was just at China Gourmet about a week ago which also had 4.5 star reviews at the time of this post and China Gourmet was hands down better. China Gourmet was late getting us our food but gave us a complementary appetizer while we waited without us asking and it was Christmas day so I'm surprised China Gourmet was even opened. If your debating between the two based on star reviews, The Wok is not the spot. I wanted to try them both to compare. Big difference. I wouldn't pay half the price they charge to...
Read moreMy husband found The Wok on a Google Search two months ago and it has been our favorite go-to place for Chinese food ever since! We've been back four times now and The Wok continues to impress us. The front of the house operator is exceptionally friendly and answers any questions thoroughly, while also securing the comfort of every guest, offering water to anybody waiting, topping of drinks from the fountain if we've had some while waiting for our take out. All of those small details add up to a big warm feeling, and I appreciate their attention to these small details. The food quality is exemplary and each dish on the menu has a complete description of everything that is in it. My favorite dish to order is the chicken fried rice, and the portion size is always enough that I could split it into two meals if I wanted. The decor is quaint and always very clean. There is always some upbeat music playing in the place when we go for take out.

My orange chicken was phenomenal! It has real orange rind in it, so the orange flavor was strong and aromatic. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken, he is a somewhat picky eater, because often times, the chicken is chewy from other restaurants. We also ate the hot and sour soup- also very good! It wasn’t over starched so it was light, flavorful, and punchy.
We ordered pickup through DoorDash and the food was ready in 10 minutes, super hot, fresh and flavorful. You can add ingredients or subtract, and the side options are quite numerous. We got two lunch specials, the Orange Chicken and General Tso’s. I got plain chow mein, and my boyfriend got chicken fried rice and chow mein with his. It also came with a soup that I wasn’t expecting. The restaurant is a bit small with limited space so if you have a big group I suggest calling them.
