Pixie Deli and Good Eats — Restaurant in California

Wonderfully located Deli in the heart of Aptos near Rio Del Mar cross streets. Lots of outdoor seating. Across the street from the beach. Food was delivered fresh and delicious. The staff was super attentive to all of our needs. The owner was even on site having lunch with his family. This small family owned Deli was extremely clean, organized and had a lot of specialty items on site. From imported beers, bakery goods from "The Farm", to fresh Frozen specialty ice creams. I ordered the special: The Bay Shrimp Sandwich. Generous portion of shrimp salad mix on a delicious crusty fresh ciabatta roll served with lime wedges. We also ordered one of their house favorites: the pesto sandwich which was also delicious. We topped off our visit to Pixie Deli with a fresh carrot cake muffin from " The Farm". No complaints...

I have some problems with Pixie Deli. I feel like every time I enter the building, I feel filthy. I've noticed the floors near the cashier are dirty, I notice sometimes the employees don't wear gloves when handling food, sometimes the food is not that fresh or appealing, and I heard from a friend of a friend that there might be a rodent problem. But, the overall service is very good and the employees are always very nice. I love pixie deli but I can't get the thought out of my head that the way they prepare food is unsanitary. Also, not going to lie the fries are bomb and will always come...

What a great little place to grab a delicious bite and hit the beach! They have fresh hot rotisserie chicken coming off the fire Evey morning that is perfect! Not to mention the build your own breakfast burrito that is about the size of my head, lol..4 egg burrito! I will say if you add avocado make sure you check as they forgot a couple times..but when I mentioned it they were apologetic and quick to fix the mistake.
