Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in California

I ordered $60 worth of food. I was feeding 5 children and 3 adults. Some of the menu items were not available. They didn't have a any onion rings and buffalo wings. When we got home, I realized 1/3 of the food was missing. I couldn't believe they had given me a cheese burger when we ordered a hamburger with no mayo for my daughter who has a dairy allergy. We ordered 3corn dogs and only received 2. We were also missing an order of fries. I drove back to Sonic to ask for the rest of the food. One of the employees took my life of missing items and said they would work on it. In a matter of 7 minutes. They came to ask me what kind of hamburger I had ordered. So I repeated each time "hamburger, no cheese and no mayo".

I know they are busy and trying to get orders out ASAP. But, when it is going to cause more harm than good, it creates a negative experience such as what I went through. I was expecting at least an apology for not getting my order correct. Their customer service definitely needs improvement. I waited patiently for the rest of my food feeling like it was my fault they didn't get my order correct and now I was just in their way. I hope my experience is not what what their slogan truly means when they say... "THIS IS...

I've always gone here to get milkshakes and blasts for my kiddos. They've always loved them. On special occasions I would take them there and let them get a large Shake of their choosing. However, we went there a couple weeks ago and went to the drive-thru. We ordered our shakes, left, and on the way home realized that are shakes that were supposed to be Oreo, Snickers, and M&M were not Blended. It was large shakes that were nothing but vanilla ice cream, and Candy sprinkled on the top! They did not make the shakes. We waited a really long time in line, and the guy at the window apologized for how long it took. He handed us our shakes and we left. When we were pulling in at home we realized that there was no candy throughout the shakes. We were gypped!! $8 a piece and I could have gone and spent $3 or $4 at the grocery store on a carton of vanilla ice cream if that's what I had wanted. I tried to treat my girls to something special, and they were all terribly disappointed. We were at the one on Olive Drive. It was a total rip-off that night! Other than that, it's always been fine. But they're kind of pricey for what you're paying for. You can go to a mom-and-pop drive-in type place and get a better milkshake for...

I am very displeased with the customer service at this location. Every time I come the workers always have an attitude no matter what I order. Today an employee named Akashia was extremely rude to me and my family. When asked if she added vanilla to the Dr Pepper she said “no because you didn’t ask for it” after we had politely asked her twice. Then upon arrival with the food she threw the bag of food at my disabled father in law who was driving, forgot our mango slushee, and threw the wrong cup she brought out on the floor and left it there. Then she went back inside to get the slushee basically threw it at him again then took off with our receipt and crumpled it up. We asked for the receipt and she stormed back to the car and threw it in as well. When we got home and checked the food it was AWFUL. My onion rings were soggy and all about an inch thick. The food was inedible, and the slushee was the wrong flavor. We paid for a mango slushee and got peach after all that. I’ve tried called the store over 10 times since I left, and no one is answering.
