It's unfortunate, because we live right across the street, but this Starbucks is consistently the worst we encounter in the area from Antelope to Roseville, Rocklin, and Lincoln from the standpoint of quality of service and speed. I've given up doing mobile orders (I just get a drip coffee) because on at least three occasions, I've shown up, told them I'm there (at least 5 minutes after ordering), and while I waited witnessed a person walk up the counter, order, and walk away with a drip coffee. That could've been me. Also, my wife has been "parked" during a drive-through order for one mocha, then after waiting for a while, walked in to find her mocha sitting on the counter. Finally, on most occasions, I can walk up the counter and not get greeted by anyone for an awkward 30 seconds or so, even though multiple people make eye contact with me. Very odd.
I think the managers here could benefit from visiting other locations and getting trained on maintaining morale and organizing their manpower to run efficiently... I've also heard managers openly complaining to (and about) their employees, which is horrible for morale and looks really bad when the customers...
Read moreThis location was very busy and very understaffed. Everyone was trying to be patient, but I did wait about 20 minutes for my order. The staff was handling it so well, I thought, just all hands on deck, trying to keep their heads above water, serving customers with an explanation and a smile. The staffing issue is clearly not their fault, but the inconvenience to the customer is still the same. I also noticed that the staff was making a lot of mistakes, like, "Oh, I gave the wrong drink to that customer " And, "Darn, I didn't see that it was supposed to be decaf." It happens when stressed. I wanted to tell them of a saying we had in the military, "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." But hard to accomplish when customers are waiting. They were truly doing the best they could, but management needs to strive for a more permanent solution. I know that's easier said than done. It might just be...
Read moreI am writing this review from my car after getting my usual Caramel Frappe. Immediately I was caught off guard by how I was greeted by most of the staff despite them being busy with other tasks. As of now the time is 12:31 pm (1-22-2020), and I would definitely try to go with the staff that are there now (as of time of this review being written). The kind lady who I regret not knowing her name was very friendly, asked me about the weather outside and how my day was going while taking my order which was nice. Not to say the customer service from the other staff from previous trips here were bad, but the crew here definitely go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome.
