Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in California

I like to come to this location due to it's the nearest one to me.The female at the cash register has no sense of customer service, although, the pizza is excellent here. Every time I come and she's behind the register she always has something to say and it's not customer-oriented. Last time I came it was 50 minutes before closing time and she said something that came off as if we were put in a rush to eat and leave. She basically told me to be quick with my meal. I told her that it was gonna depend on how quick they are gonna make our pizza. There were already 4 other tables full of ppl waiting on their food too, or, in process of eating. Today I came in and she instructed me that tip is optional on the machine and how to bypass it, I like to give tip AFTER the service, rated on the service provided. She found that I needed to learn about dining in this place and found the liberty to request that I pile up all the dishes together at the table when we're done eating OR leave a tip, she says. I understand she may have run into dirty and messy customers in the past or she may be in need of a tip, but this is not how you come at your customers at all and, guess what, this is your job. Out of all the dining places I've been to, I have never been treated with such unfriendly customer service before. Either teach that female how to treat customers or put her somewhere else. I think the young man and the lady was very nice and helped when something got overcharged but I was upset that it wasn't like a few years ago when I took my son for the lunch special I know that you guys don't even have that area were I had it work one time where they gave you a variety of pizzas and you got the pic like you could have more than one pizza but it would be like this played out there where you it was like more inviting I wish they had something a little bit more better towards birthdays you know we had the flat screen I don't know if I could ask maybe put a favorite TV show for my son something that with the status of the birthday boy kind of just showed up but I'm saying years ago it was very nice whole it was more inviting like it has like different types of pizza but it was displayed Honda I don't know what you would call it but it's where he did have entrees I think I spent $22 on a personal Pizza and salad bar with two sodas and I wish it would have been more of a package even if it went up maybe 35 with wings you know but how but I thank God for the hard work and the person who did try to help and but I'm just saying years ago it was a little better than it was the great people who try to help and I like the young man who helped me with my order and had a...

Employee named Michael deserves a raise!

My family has pizza delivered to our home from this Round Table often. The pizza is always hot, correctly made, and tastes good. We eat in the restaurant very rarely. Today (8/18/23) we had an early dinner around 4pm. Good pizza, good beer- but today my review is not about food... its regarding the exemplary customer service Michael provided to my family. My kids were very excited about the quarter machines + duck claw machine. My 5yr old daughter and I tried to get her preferred duck - a pink sparkly duck- unsuccessfully several times. Michael was attentive + kind throughout our meal, asking if we needed anything. He noticed our duck struggles and offered suggestions to try to help. After all my $1 bills were gone, we gave up the effort.

My kids later noticed Michael playing the duck claw machine repeatedly. Michael approached our table and surprised my daughter with a duck he won for her, and coincidentally, it was also pink + sparkly!!

My daughter carried that duck around with her everywhere else we went today. This act of extreme kindness was so unexpected and really made our day. Michael obviously has a big heart and really cares about a positive customer experience. Please give him a raise. He deserves it! Thank...
