I stopped in to grab a bite to eat on my way to Smart and Final. I took a moment to scan the menu, and decided to go with the Nachos, and a couple of tacos. When I received the food, I opted to take seating outside, as it was the first nice day since the storms. I opened the Nachos, and the first thing I noticed was that it appeared to be dry! I mean, the cheese was hardened, the steak was NOT SEASONED, and the chips tasted OLD! I have NEVER BEEN THIS DISAPPOINTED IN A MEXICAN restaurant! Thoroughly disappointed, I moved on to the tacos. The tacos were slightly better, but still BLAND! I wrapped up the food, and headed back inside. I explained that the Nachos were not good, and I would like a refund. The cashier looked at me as though she all of a sudden didn't understand what I was saying. At some point, a guy came from the back, and I explained to him what the issue was. They spoke in Spanish to each other for a few seconds, and finally, after waiting another three minutes, I was handed a 10 dollar bill. The cashier seemed very irritated, and was ready for me to leave, however, she had not given me my exact change. She looked at me, as to say, WHAT!? And I politely let her know that I paid tax on my order, and she still owed me. She practically ripped the cash register off the counter to give me my change!🤨 NO I WILL NOT BE RETURNING, NO IT WAS NOT GOOD, NO IT WAS NOT WORTH MY TIME!🤬 HORRIBLE...
Read moreWhile this restaurant has earned great reviews for its food and its service — and I agree that the staff here are excellent, professional, and attentive — I cannot overlook a serious issue that reflects poorly on the owners.
The employees have been forced to work for over a month with no air conditioning. This is not only unfair, it is unsafe. Customers are here for an hour or two, but the staff are enduring these extreme conditions for entire shifts. It is unacceptable that management has ignored this issue for so long, especially in a workplace that depends on long hours of physical activity, constant movement, and customer interaction.
The owners are benefitting from the hard work of their staff while neglecting their most basic responsibility: providing safe and humane working conditions. This level of disregard should carry consequences — whether from the labor board, OSHA, or health inspectors. Employees deserve better than this, and the public deserves to know how they’re being treated.
Until the AC is repaired and the staff have a safe environment to work in, I cannot support this establishment, no matter how good the food or...
Read moreMy first visit here, food is very good plus a lot to eat here. I'm alone (1 person). I order the Combo. plate, cashier had gave me a number that I had placed onto end of table, as several tables was empty. Number is very clearly marked. I'm very big guy at Salsa Bar to get chips and salsa that only 8 feet away from my table. As I was returning back to same table, I had saw the unprofessional woman clearing off my table as the number still here in the plain sight. I nearly lost my Coke that I had paid for. She had gotten chewed out by me. Her answer; 'I thought, you had left?' yea sure, leaving through the door with order number still on the table, "is DUMB!" If she cannot able to see me at 300 pounds within, 8 feet, she is BLIND. Even 90 year old man with eyes disease still see me at much better than she can with her young eyes with 20 and 20 vision. I was going to give them 4 to 5 stars, because of this, 3...
