TLDR; Our order was canceled after we left the drive thru speaker, and they never bothered to get it right. Not the first or even the second time based off multiple regulars I've talked to for this review. Find a reason to go to the Santee or Chula Vista location. Terrible drive thru lines, and even worse parking during high traffic hours
The Juicy Review: I'm sorry I have to do this to you, Wendy. I thought what we had was special!! What's not to get right? Four meals with standard drinks and an additional sandwich. No substitutions requested. Sounds easy, especially when the customer make the extra effort to be clear and concise. No mix-ups and convenient service between customer and company; all that fast food should be. Apparently, that's too much for the Campo Road Wendy's.
This is the input of my experience as well as my fellow consumers that informs you of the pattern of this Campo circus act. This is the experience you're going to have when you visit this location. I understand mix ups happen all the time, but when is it going to be enough? I had to get the attention of the drive thru cashier three different times to completely correct or remind them of what I ordered. That's terrible. People get impatient behind you, and the line keeps growing. Fast food becomes a marathon of patience for room temp food and finding out they got only half of it right . Balance out the incompetency by getting some new blood in there and sending the other mooks out to pasture Wendy, come on.
In the end, I'm still going to go to this Wendy's. Wendy's is just too tasty, even when it's all lukewarm. That, and I'm not driving to Santee or Chula just to get a burger, but I'm definitely checking my order at the order screen, receipt, or bag twice. Remember, you've been warned. Don't be surprised when the 2+ meals you ordered brings the circus to Campo Rd. Updated...

The chicken was golden brown and crisp on the outside, tender and juicy white meat on the inside. The bacon was also fresh made, with the perfect texture (crisp and hot off the grill (Yes!!) The lettuce and tomato were also very fresh, and the perfect compliment to the chicken patty and the strips of bacon. The sandwich roll was warm and soft and also super fresh - it had not been kept in a steamer. I hope they keep this sandwich as a permanent part of the menu because if they keep serving them at this quality I will be ordering them again and again. Unfortunately they forgot and added salt on my French fries which I had requested no salt. They were also freshly prepared, they tasted good but too salty. I am also becoming a fan of Wendy's chicken nuggets - they are superior in taste and texture to both McDonald's and Burger King, imho. Fail on the iced tea - I ordered the Unsweetened regular brewed iced tea and was given the most syrupy sickeningly sweet tea - I was absolutely parched but the tea was overly sweetened that it was foul, I could barely stand the few sips I took with the meal - I left almost the whole drink - and did I mention, I was parched!! I definitely will never order ice tea again unless I know for certain that it's unsweetened and I like lemon in my tea many places don't offer lemon (I hadn't remembered to ask, and we had already driven away before I tasted the tea My friend had ordered a chocolate chip cookie for dessert, when we got to the window we were informed they were out of chocolate chip cookies but would a sugar cookie be all right? My friend accepted the sugar cookie. The flavor was okay, according to her, the cookie was good, and fresh, but she still prefers the chocolate...
Read moreHonestly the worst experience ever! I work in customer service myself and this is not how you treat customers! I, myself was not the one who experienced the encounter but rather my mother. My mother and father walk into the location just to see a long line and as my mother is placing her order with the African American cashier, she asks my mother for her name. My mother is surprised that the cashier spells her name correctly and compliments her for doing so. The cashier then responds with an attitude " Well I did go to school!" Umm excuse me first off there's no reason to get an attitude with my mother and secondly they don't teach how to spell names correctly smart ass. Then as my mom went up to get her order, she relizes that the food is bagged after she specifically told the cashier that they were dining in. Then she throws the tray on the counter so my mother takes the food out herself. Keep in mind the cashier doesn't even apologize for making a mistake. Then as my parents go to sit down they notice that their burger doesn't have lettuce. Then my father gets up to ask for crackers and one of the African American woman throws them on the counter. As my dad starts walking away, the woman says " you're welcome". Um excuse what is he going to thank you for?! Being rude ?! No. Ridiculous! I repeat this is NOT how you treat customers! My parents go to this location probably once a week. And they're never returning to this...
