West Coast Sourdough - Elk Grove, Elk Grove Blvd — Restaurant in California

First time visit for us. Customer service and accuracy a big miss. We ordered 2 sandwiches with chips, 1 salad and 2 cookies. Ordered online curb side pickup. Upon arrival waited at curbside, a while past time ready, I called and had to go in and get my order. Which is not a problem but also not curbside pick up. Sandwich only toppings, pepperoni, salami and cheese, they forgot the cheese. Salad, brown avacados, we ordered ranch and received blue cheese. No chips, after being told "the whole order is in the big bag", they neglected to tell me that I was supposed to get the chips around the otherside of the counter, which are not visible from front. The lemon cookie was raw in the center. For the price not worth it where is the meat? We were half way home (we live in Galt) my son went to eat his sandwich and we realized these mistakes. I called and was told she would take my name and I can get it next time, well after this there will be no next time. We got off the highway turned around and went back. The young girl was a bit rude and laughed at the fact she forgot the cheese. She points to the wall and says "you are supposed to grab your own chips" how is a new customer that has not been told know that the chips are around the otherside of the counter, especially since the chips are not in sight and "everything is in the big bag." In a great location for a sandwich shop right next to a costco etc. Unfortunately, the service is incredibly bad, as one of the young Indian men (name starts with a V, all I could remember, I'm getting old) that works there has a very rude attitude, and an inability to handle the stress of a sandwich shop, which I can't decide if it is laughable or sad. The au jous sandwich was good, but the turkey tasted weird and the clam chowder was definitely old like old old. Another thing that was ridiculous was the tip options when you checkout...starting at 15-20%, and going up to unspeakable territory. Remember, this is at a sandwich shop that calls your receipt number to go get your sandwich at the counter while they're not busy and has a young man giving heavy attitude after you've barely spoke your first sentence. Sandwich prices here I'd say are average to above average for what they are offering. Overall I'd say The Sandwich Spot has not only better value but their sandwiches are way tastier/juicier and they have sourdough so. I'd advise the young man, don't leave mommy's shop. Ok, i have to write this. I order exactly what I wanted on my sandwich and they got it right perfectly. They took out all the carbs (which is the breading inside and scrape it out) they took their time like a chef would and the presentation was awesome. The sandwich was better than mine at a home. Even way better than Subway. Sorry Subway you lost this compliment I'm giving my compliment to West Coast Sourdough. Man, the sandwich executed perfectly its too perfect i want to take a picture of and frame it...LOL. thats how good it looked. Great job, it was with Bar-b-que, lettuce, mayo, swiss and hot chicken.
