In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Elk Grove

My friend, my daughter, & I came at 10:30pm tonight 02-23-2024 to grab some burgers and fries, and we had a phenomenal dinner experience at this new location in Elk Grove. Glenn was the order taker & he repeated back our orders thoroughly and his customer service was on point. Dennis brought our food to us at our table and was very attentive to our needs and very friendly. We loved our animal fries because it was well salted and the cheese was fully melted. The fries wasn’t soggy and cold.

For the most part I loved my burger. I ordered the double-double animal style with raw onion added, chopped chilies, ketchup & mustard. I know my burger seemed complicated, but Trevor & Diego exceeded my expectations. I had to take a photo of it because it was just that BEAUTIFUL! You can see every detail that I requested on my burger & I am impressed. I haven’t seen my burger looking this beautiful in a long time & they did an EXCELLENT job. I had to ask Dennis for their names because everyone deserved a praise and a raise.

Everything was great and perfect considering that it was night time and I’m sure everyone was tired. I’m so glad I got to experience this new location. I will be coming back again with my family and friends. I can’t wait to show them the new In N Out that I will be going to from now on when I’m in town. Out of all the In N Out I’ve been to in Sacramento/Elk Grove, this is the best so far! Good job everyone! Keep up the good work. Y’all did a great job! Can’t wait to come back!

The food prepared during the day at this location is nearly perfect, but the food at night is consistently terrible. I’m writing this as a collective review to highlight the consistent pattern of poor quality from the night crew.

I ordered at 10 PM, and an In-N-Out employee carelessly tossed the fries into the bag. The cheeseburger had a massive “canyon” in the front—all the fillings and the patty were shoved to the back, leaving a large empty gap between the buns (in all my years of eating at In-N-Out, I’ve never seen anything like it). To top it off, there was barely any lettuce, and the fries were lukewarm.

Another time, at 11 PM, my animal fries were packed at such an angle in the box that they were almost upside-down when I got home—even though the bag stayed upright in the passenger seat the entire ride. Most of the spread ended up smeared all over the box.

In another order at midnight, the animal fries were packed sideways in the box.

And the list goes on. This isn’t just an isolated issue—it’s a repeated pattern by the night crew.

In contrast, the daytime crew always gets it right. They consistently prepare my cheeseburger animal style and animal fries with care. The animal fries are always properly placed in the box, never at odd angles.

The night crew needs to be evaluated for their poor quality and lack of consistency.

I’ll go to the Laguna or Delta Shores locations instead when I want In-N-Out at night. I’m just not satisfied with the inconsistent quality of the food I’ve been getting at this location during the night shift.

This is the 2nd In-N-Out Burger location in Elk Grove. It is better than the 1st one in many areas like the drive-thru, the parking lot, and the outdoor seating area. The food and service are about the same as the old one.

I like In-N-Out more than any other burger joint. They're inexpensive, good quality, friendly and fast service. All my friends including those out of the state without In-N-Out Burger in their hometown loved them after they tried their burgers. Many of my friends are jealous that we have In-N-Out nearby! Lol

The burgers and fries in this location are the same high quality as all the In-N-Out in the area. The workers here are attentive. I have them come to my table to check with me to make sure I’m satisfied with my meal or help clean up the table.

The drive-thru usually has a long line. But it moves very quickly. My experience is about less than 10 minutes even if the line is all the way out to the parking lot.
